Re: Scarborough Athletic 0-1 Southport - Match Thread

Great win ,I watched the interview, and I agree more or less with what the manager/ director says, but somewhere in the football club there needs to be a reminder that scrabbling around in the bottom half of this league is not acceptable to some supporters, but days like today shows that we're not ...

Re: Q&A with Ian and Liam

No articles in local papers, Which local newspapers? I liked the frankness of the Q&A. People have got used to a government that like to just bluster crap through and ignoring the inconvenient truths, it seems they expected Rob, Ian and Liam to do exactly the same. Do people forget the crap Cha...

Re: Spennymoor P-P

Good god this place is unbearable. I know people were saying last week it should be sold, or they wanted a lottery win. I know if I won £90million I wouldn't go anywhere near a purchase with the crap I'd have to put up with. Yes when the club postponed it was many many hours before kick off but that...

Re: Cam Mason loan

Bizarrely everyone decided to ignore the stat... This season: T Mac - 1.25 conc per game Cam - 1.57 conc per game People have complained for years that Liam doesn't tend to go for the older heads, often buying 'cheap' young'uns, but when he's playing probably the most experienced Conference North go...

Re: Southport 2-1 Curzon Ashton - Match Thread

Big big bear of mine is no names on shirts - nearly every other NLN team has then - why not us? Adds weight to the shirts, all those letters add up and make players lethargic which obviously leads to more defeats. It's why we're tied on points but just outside of the playoffs and they're outside of...

Re: Cam Mason loan

How many goals did we let in when Mason was brought back into the starting 11?

Yeah Tony is oldish, yeah he's cheaper, but playing Cam isn't going to suddenly start propelling us up the league single handedly.

Re: Southport 1-1 Scarborough - Match Thread

? We aren't bound by the transfer window, but teams in leagues above us are. Let's say Accrington have a player to offload, someone we might want to sign, but they only want to offload that player if they have signed their replacement. But the same could be true of the team who owns the player they...

Still affects all the leagues, players move up so some come down either released or loaned as they've been replaced.

Re: Southport 1-1 Scarborough - Match Thread

Then why wait for the transfer window? So we can fill the void? The fact that we don't stop players from progressing, and actually allow them to grow and get back into the football league is probably one of the main reasons why players are happy to come to us. And possibly helping to keep us afloat.

Surely that's impossible?

I thought the only reason, having seen the conspiracy theories from many on here, including you, re Archer etc, he doesn't pick players is because he falls out with them.

So we've had Archer back in a couple of games ago, Mason back in goal today, is Woods is the next crusade?

Re: Southport 1-1 Kings Lynn - Match Thread

Would have taken a point before the game, to be winning though its always a kick in the teeth to then concede.

KL are a good side, and we're doing well to be near them in the league.

Still bonkers they have to travel to us on a Tuesday from Norfolk.

Re: Southport 4-0 Farsley Celtic - Match Thread

Could we just perhaps trust the chap who's won the league a couple of times and has us in the playoffs despite people calling for his head all of a month ago?

We don't need to know every single reason why he picks X over X.

Yes, the most logical thing to change after keeping a clean sheet, swap the keeper out.

Re: Southport 2 - 2 Brackley - Match Thread

I too have been lost to explain Cam being dropped- except as has been said , has he fallen out with Liam? Is this the default argument for players not playing? We have a small squad and we're playing many games back to back. Is it to replace the Archer/Watson storyline thats probably forgotten abou...

Re: Southport 2-1 Chorley - Match Thread

Why, then, are the stewards of the opinion that they aren't allowed to be searched? Surely that's a mistake on their part? I was never searched at away grounds as an under 18 for that very reason, and the consensus seems to be among all clubs that they aren't able to search under 18s at least witho...

Did some of you talking about this watch us in the league or first season out ? I can assure you the handbags at dawn you see is nothing in comparison. I suggest just leave it alone a few flares and lads squaring up let's keep the press out and stay mum. The old head in sand approach? Just because ...

Definitely more to Archer story that advertised.
Scenes on the touchline as Liam refuses to celebrate Archer scoring, face like thunder.
