Re: Lancashire Challenge Trophy vs Ashton Athletic

I mean we should be beating Ashton Athletic, but Christ above we absolutely annihilated them. Did feel a little bit sorry for them at the end though, you could tell the poor buggers just wanted to go home. They were a lot worse than the AA side we've played against in the Lancs Cup seemingly every s...

Re: Senior Cup Marine game

It matters to Liam more than league games right now, going off the tone of his recent interviews which makes it all the more concerning that we were played off the park today.

Re: Pyrotechnics at Marine away tomorrow

I really don't see how a few kids playing with a pyro is worse than organised criminal gangs who are responsible for numerous deaths at football games the world over every season, but that might just be me.

They still shouldn't be used inside the ground though.

Re: Senior Cup Marine game

Terrible performance all round. Tony should've done far better for goals 2 and 3 but Anson should have those both covered. We were absolutely battered, showed no signs of anything positive and scored with our only chance. There's no point calling for Watson to go as he'll still be here when we're pl...

Pyrotechnics at Marine away tomorrow

Link to the Twitter post which mentions that all potential pyro incidents tomorrow will be met with some degree of force. At least that's something most of us can agree on .

Re: Scarborough Athletic 0-1 Southport - Match Thread

Everyone needs to watch that LW interview. Can these spotty playground gangsters please get the f*** away from our club. And the adults that egg them on…I’m lost for words. £25000 we’ve spent on security as a result of their yobbish behaviour. Enough is enough. Well, none of those were at Scarborou...

Beer, great company, trains running on time and 3 points. Its a class away day. Top draw to effort from everyone I saw/had a pint with/spoke to. This is what it's all about - a great day all around 🟡⚫ Amen absolutely. I was too pissed to analyse the game to be honest but 3 points there is a brillia...

I can't see us taking any points. The local Spoons is rife with Stone Island clad bald men though.

You mean the man who employs Watson, and wouldn't sack him even if we went down?

[quote=David_1276 post_id=2 If the club goes up for sale, publicly, and there are simply no buyers then fair enough - I will get back in my box. But it's a load of rubbish to argue "there's no queue down Haig Avenue" as nobody currently knows there is anything to queue for. Why would you ...

Re: Southport 0-0 Alfreton - Match Thread

Ian’s onto a dead loss here. He can say what he said in the Q&A until he’s blue in the face. He can have said it every day since. People won’t listen. People won’t hear. People just interpret what he said in their own way. There is not a line of potential investors on Haig Avenue. You’ve been t...

Re: Southport 0-0 Alfreton - Match Thread

It all stems back to a lack of investment, and a lack of ambition. Irrespective of the fact that Ian did a sterling job to keep the Club going during lockdown, the time has come, in my opinion, for him to at the very least actively search out external methods of finance. By that, I don't mean having...

Brad Wade

Welcome Brad, seems to have been highly rated by Hereford before his release in January. Hopefully gives Tony some competition and at 22, has a lot of room to grow.

Re: Connor Woods

I think he clearly had potential, but in my opinion the writing has been on the wall for him for some time and I really don't see why he was seemingly so highly rated by the fanbase. Given the role he had to play for us, his inability to frequently get into any sort of dangerous position and his ter...

Re: Southport 2-1 Blyth Spartans

Interesting that we played our best football (and it was football) following the half time team talk lead by Terry McPhillips. The fact that our goals came from set pieces masks how well we actually played for the first 20-30 mins of the second half. Also of interest is the change of tone in Liam W...

Re: Q&A with Ian and Liam

If we had 46 shots on target each season, each one resulting in one goal in each of our 46 league games and didn't concede a single goal all year, therefore resulting in a league win I don't think anyone could possibly complain. Boring football is, well, boring- but that doesn't mean it can't be fun...

Re: Q&A with Ian and Liam

Neither Ian or Liam are full time but are dedicating a lot of time to securing the future and without knowledge of their conversations, to say they’re not actively gone looking for investment is surely speculation at best & inaccurate at worse…. There has been no advertisement outside of channe...
