Re: Liams comments after Scarborough

Well said Liam. £110,000 is a lot of money and from me a big thank you to Ian. That isn't being sycophantic that is supporting a man who is doing his best. I haven't seen Liam as passionate as that for a while, he meant every word and it needed saying. Ian used to come around and talk to supporters ...

Re: Southport 0-0 Alfreton - Match Thread

I'm not clear what the protestors are protesting about really. As I'm given to understand, it all stems back to the banning orders given out after the Blackpool game in the summer. I tend to agree, I actually think that there are a small group among them that are leading the rest of them, bringing ...

Re: Football Focus next Saturday

Interesting. . . I know Scarborough will be looking to promote their club through the programme and nobody can blame them for that, but I do think Southport should make an effort to be involved themselves. Perhaps in the week contact the BBC and ask for the producer of Football Focus and even if not...

Worth a listen Liam Watson in a Podcast

https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/names-from-the-game/id1663965748?i=1000596430201 Click on the link above, it is a very entertaining podcast that Liam did a couple of weeks ago for a weekly site called "Names in the Game". There other characters like John Coleman, Mark Beesley and Pau...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-64725408.amp What a fantastic piece of journalism. I really enjoyed the opportunity to read the club's statement and some of the replies to it all over again. Has the BBC been taken over by Reach PLC as it's exactly the sort of garbage they produce f...

Re: Lourdes Deli

Can't have helped the way fixtures have panned out. Apart from the poorly attended Miicky Mouse cups, we have had just three home league games in approx 3 months. She can't make a living on that especially in these hard times. Then with last minute cancellations she must be left with food she has p...

I've had a search and I cant find any
You might try on Google under High Peak Radio, but it looks likely to be online. . I had a cursory nose about and suspect that there might be something,

I am not promising though.

There doesn't appear to be any official tape of the game the best I could find was this by some blokes called "Nutmeg Productions" It shows Connors goal https://www.google.com/search?q=you+tube+chorley+v+southport&oq=You+Tube+Chorley+v+South&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j33i10i160l4j33i21j33i...

Re: Gate Money documentary - out now

Thanks for putting that up James. . . A very interesting hour or so that I suggest many of the thinking supporters spend, it isn't urgent that it is done right now but make the time. You can see exactly where and exactly why Ian Kyle and Co were so upset with the league board, especially as I unders...

Re: Pre match watering of the pitch

A query at the Leamington game we prewatered and for a bit some players appeared to slip and be unsure of their balnce. A couple of days ago at Huntingdon for some reason they pre-watered on dry ground and racing was abandoned after 2 races due to horses slipping. I just wondered why we pre water? ...

I think I am correct in saying. . . I was told that some of the seating that was taken out of the Haig Avenue stand during refurbishment went to Skelmersdale Utd and were put into storage for when they get a ground of their own again, I don't think that they were used at the JMO (Blaguegate Lane) gr...

Re: Club statement (Leamington)

My observations from the stand. . 1. This man had planned the whole thing, he came with the intension of carrying out what he did. 2. The hood he had pulled up was to avoid him being recognised. 3. I think this was pre-planned mainly because of the way he exited and appeared to have planned a route ...

IMO It would be a good idea if people stopped making speculative postponement announcements. Lets see what is announced. It can only put people off attending the match. I am sat here at 9-45am on Friday and some games are on, some are off. . . BBC teletext which I think is usually on time with the n...

Just what is needed, a threat to the opposition in both build up and scoring.

The above mentioned film and another I found.

It is dreadful news. . . I grew up with Billy and Alex at Haig Avenue and they were the heroes of the great team of the 1960's that I was brought up supporting. . . Ben Tollitt would be a good addition from Fylde. Just been released. Ben would be a good addition and will be on the radar and Liam will know all about him via Tommy Lawson, he was with Skem under Tommy when he moved to Portsmouth. He lives in Liverpool so local and IMO he will have trouble getting...

Well done again but the food at the ground is now awful, Use the local Chippy instead. That’s very disappointing, I’ve never been but am going next week and was hoping to finally try the legendary pie cuisine . I know the person who did the pies died in the last year 😞. Not a very good advert for t...
