Re: Southport 1-2 Hereford - Match Thread

It was blatant cheating by their team full stop.
I can only think of two incidents when our players went down Walton who was carried off and Quansah for a head clash both legitimate.
Their whole team took it in turns to go down squirming on the floor but none of them went off injured.

Re: Southport 1-2 Hereford - Match Thread

Quansah may have worked hard and got up and down the line, but he is technically much poorer that the others in his control and passing and is not a natural in our new style of play Absolute rubbish, he has good control ,he didn’t make a bad pass he can cross a ball his heading is OK and he had the...

Re: The town’s opinions of Southport FC

When friends and acquaintances enquire about Southport FC and how are they going on etc, in other words what do you see in watching our level of football? I explain I know all about top level football watched it as a neutral for donkeys year from Tom Finneys Preston to watching them fall over in Pre...

Re: Southport 3-1 Brackley Town - Match Thread

Brief highlights are up now. Can't get my head around Carver's second yellow. It was right in front of us everyone involved could have had a yellow or none, I am afraid it was referees revenge from when Carver objected to being booked a bit earlier his card and sending off was literally marked. So ...

Re: Southport 3-1 Brackley Town - Match Thread

Such a pity that the Bishops Stortford game is off on Tuesday. We would have had lots of momentum after today! Even more annoying now with Bishop's Stortford's F A Trophy tie tonight now having been postponed following a pitch inspection. Or would Southport's pitch have also failed a pitch inspecti...

Re: Southport 3-1 Brackley Town - Match Thread

I kept an eye on Heath the whole game he didn’t try anything fancy and give the ball away but he never put a foot wrong his tackling and passing was faultless and all his many throw ins went to a Southport player, no 50/50 throws. His reading of the game was very good and helped to keep Brackleys sc...

Re: Southport 3-1 Brackley Town - Match Thread

Heath never put a foot wrong and battled in midfield with passes that always found a man and throw ins likewise. He took a bad tackle which I assume was why he made way. He was a big part of them not increasing their lead. I have said in the last two previous losses the team never gave up. At last o...

Re: Southport 1-2 Spennymoor Town

The team have shown they can play given the best players are playing and I do not think they lack effort. The Alfreton game was excellent until the last few minutes the South Shields game was excellent throughout. Last night the play for the first 30 minutes was as good as we have seen all season an...

Re: Southport 1-2 Spennymoor Town

I was one of the few there tonight I suspect most of the posters on here were not. I went for a drink in Churchtown after and met up with three others who were at the match. We all thought the team put in a good shift and tried to play the way we all want, a passing game. It was end to end and both ...

Re: Spennymoor

Anti depressants at the ready, hopefully they will not be needed. Surely a game we can win and boy do we ever need it. 2 -2. 609, 29 away. After their sterling (and I don't mean the twat on tv), performance on Saturday, will the commentary team be in action again ? I will make a prediction, if it’s...

Re: Southport 2-3 Alfreton - Match Thread

Actually apart from the first 15 minutes I thought it was a strange but good watch. Marcus was back to his best and our new Earle type defender grew into the game and was even orchestrating the back line. And there was actually a 12 pass move by us. Every long throw and there were plenty of them we...
