Battle of the Souths - Shields vs Port (South Shields away - 20th April)

Last day of the season. No rain forecast. No pressure. Newcastle. Will hopefully be an enjoyable one. Enjoyed the trip there when we played them in the trophy a few seasons back, but looks like a lot of work has been done since then, so will be nice to have another trip there. For those doing it by ...

Re: National League North - 2024/25

Actually a very decent looking league next season. Personally, I’m hoping we lose one of Alfreton or Brackley in the play offs - purely on an I’ve been a lot basis and we don’t tend to do amazingly at those places (especially Alfreton). Lots of new grounds in prospect which is always a bonus and wit...

Re: Liverpool Post Investigation

Sadly its the apathy and i notice it living away people aren't that much bothered. A travel club that runs raffles , fund raising for fan travel with a youth section could provide those funds but the club is frankly dying on its feet. Clapham has a lot to answer for in this regard. We didn't need a...

Re: Liverpool Post Investigation

It doesn't alter the fact nobody runs one, We have clubs in the Hellenic and western leagues taking coaches to away games. As Dan Hayes said nobody will run the trust, We have no supporters club, As stated nobody will run a coach. Last season i came on the Leamington and Gloucester away coaches. Al...

Re: Southport 3-0 Rushall Olympic - Match Thread

It’s rare I’ll ever say a trip from Kent to Southport is worthwhile in a football sense, but today is one of them. Job done and in a professional manner. Onto a less than professional piss up in South Shields. All the best to Andy - hopefully it’s nothing too serious and well done to the fast acting...

Southport 0-0 Rushall Olympic
Att. 1,216 (45 away)

Tony Mac does kick-ups on his goal line and Rushall do some sunbathing after (hopefully) seeing Blyth/Farsley are losing

Re: The run in

All things considered, those results aren't too bad for us. Rushall were never going to lose at home to Stortford and Peterborough Sports did the job on Farsley. Ideally, us and Rushall see Blyth/Farsley are getting hammered at HT on Saturday and we play for a draw keeping both of us up. Only time w...

Re: Darlington 2-0 Southport - Match Thread

I really think a point should be enough. Hoping Finlay Lockett plays next week. The question is if we fail who is to blame? Letting a manager who lost 10 games in a row at the end of last season continue and build a squad which from minute one could not perform at the level required is where the bl...

Re: Darlington 2-0 Southport - Match Thread

I'm beyond being angry, upset or disappointed at games like this. We turned up like we we were safe already and played for a draw. By 10 minutes, that plan had unraveled before our very eyes.

Just beat Rushall. Simple as that - performances mean nothing anymore.

Re: Darlo away - 6th April

Could really do with winning this. Personally, I'd like to see Darlo go down over Farsley or Rushall - and it would confirm our safety pretty much if we able to get a result. Having said this, my personal record and the clubs itself is fairly woeful in that part of the North East. Remember to check ...

Re: Southport 0-1 Scunthorpe - Match Thread

My prediction from the other thread: "Can't see us getting anything but don't think we'll be played off the park either." May not have got the exact scoreline, but wasn't a million miles away either - unfortuante not to get anything in the end. Overall, a fairly enjoyable day with a few to...

Watched a dog have a big shit in a garden near the ground and that was somehow the most entertaining part of the game.

0-0 - point. Move onto Darlo. UTP

Strike TTs now confirmed for Darlo (a)
LNER running skeleton service, but for London exiles, there is a service.
Check downstream systems for your journey if you are planning on travelling.
Obviously, there is the usual caveat of late notice changes and on the day disruption.

Re: Farsley

Always look forward to a trip to Farsley - found them to be friendly and have a decent bar (one of the cheapest in the league!) Had a look at my stats with Farsley and I've seen us play them 8 times - 6 at The Citadel and twice at Haig Avenue. My record is an impressive W7 L1 with an aggregate score...
