Re: South Shields 3-0 Southport - Match Thread

It’s now time for Jim Bentley to move some of these players on ( if he can) because it’s clear we need 3-4 quality signings to make an impact…not once in the last 12 years have finished in the top 10 of either of the divisions we have competed in. 3-4 quality signings? So there are 7 or 8 of the cu...

Re: Liverpool Post Investigation

I've posted an article on Southport Central about "rule 2.13", and who holds "significant interest" in the football club.

Our owners are the subject of an investigative journalism piece by a regional media outlet, the likes of which we have never seen before in relation to anybody that owns Southport Football Club, and are under active investigation by the charities Commission and yet people are discussing coach travel...

As I have posted on another thread, I picked up a nasty piece of malware from the link to the article.
Substack, the provider of the platform that Liverpool Post use, has about 20 million subscriber and 2 million paid users. I'd be very surprised if that was the cause.

Because this is the first part of a significant investigation into Peter Mitchell and the Big Help Group by the Liverpool Post. They will publish the second part of it on Wednesday.
Make sure you're sitting down before you read any of it.

Liverpool Post Investigation

A link to this has been posted on another thread, but it was a twitter/X link, commenting on the first part of a Liverpool Post investigation that has been released today. It warrants it's own thread and a direct link...but I warn you, it makes for grim reading... https://www.livpost.co.uk/p/special...

Re: Darlington 2-0 Southport - Match Thread

I see they're already selling Early Bird season tickets for 24-25. Would be good to know what league we’re in first. That only really matters if it's the difference between you attending at all or not. An early bird offer is always a bit of a thank you to those who turn up come rain or shine, regar...

Ah well.
From you, yes - takes guts. There are plenty of people who should have been ahead of you in the queue to do so, but weren't.

We don't need to double our attendances to compete if we can tempt the ones we have into spending more... We don't need to tempt them to spend more, they're probably happy to already - we need to stop making it hard for people to give us their money. I know plenty of people, myself included, who wo...

I don't think it's necessarily lack of desire or cost....can't book something that isn't available. Most of the time these facilities are block booked by clubs spanning years.

Can anybody spell out what this third of a pitch thing is about? Doesn’t make sense to me - why would they only have a third? Whats going on in the other two thirds? Or have they just booked a 5-a-side pitch? How does this square with that video earlier in the season about improved training conditi...
