Gloucester invited me into his farm the other day, said he had a great 'edge in here.

Re: Spennymoor P-P
They're getting pelters unfortunately because "They've declared War" on Ian Kyle and the board as was mentioned on social media last week on the subject of Lourdes Deli and the Club not being able to agree a suitable agreement for both parties. Hence all these very silly comments by the u...

Re: Spennymoor P-P
The hysteria on here... As per the club statement they made an early call to avoid unnecessary travel (something much whinged about on here not so long ago). Probably the engineer refused to guarantee it would be fixed so we called off. The "should have called off earlier" and "why h...

Re: Buxton 1-0 Southport - Match Thread
A forgettable game and fairly miserable experience decided by a typically controversial goal. Didn’t really look like we’d ever score though. Much like last season there’s a group of about ten teams who appear to be about as good/bad as each other. Whether we top that group and reach the playoffs wi...

I'd rather have Dan Cockerline back.

Re: Club should be sold in the summer
I think George defending the acts of utter stupidity such as flares and violence on this forum just highlights the lack of awareness George actually has. Apparently someone will buy a club where a certain section of fans are having scraps with opposing fans and throwing flares on the pitch, that's ...

Re: Liverpool Senior Cup - Is it worth being in or pointless?
Agreed with others regarding these cup games. Not sure when I last attended one and would rather have three points in the league over winning a trophy that means little. I'd like to hear the players views on these games. Are these games preferred over a training session or not? It will be interestin...

The plan continues to work. Another decent set of results for us tonight with Kiddy and Scarborough both losing.
Banbury are going to have a busy spring.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Part of Dion’s sell on clause was £s per goal, does some of that come to us? He left us for Accrington, any deal with Accrington to Bolton will not include Southport. Dion's fallout with John Coleman meant he was left out of the first team and that stifled any chance of a good pay day. I don't know ...

Re: Club should be sold in the summer
We need to add to the board, not replace it. IK has said time and time again that they are open to any offers of help or investment. We’ve been extremely lucky that we had IK and the current board in charge after PH’s departure. A lot of clubs don’t fare very well at all (some even cease to exist) o...

Re: Hereford 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
I don't think we're as bad as some people think we are and it's far too early to write us (or anyone else) off yet. As Gloucester Man suggests, any one of the top 15th can finish in the playoffs. A few easy games or good performances on the bounce and any one of them suddenly looks like a contender....

Re: Hereford 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
Happy to accept it was a bad day at the office, new manager bounce, whatever, but I'm not buying the "small squad" excuse/blame. We've played 35 games this season in 26 weeks. Bainbridge and Quansah are the only two players to have started, on average, more than once a week. We've had 20 p...

Re: Potential players in (loan or transfer or free)
We are missing the corporate sponsorship I.e the stadium naming right. Pure were supposed to have put in £75k a year, but I guess the going rate is 25k-35k now. Even 25k a year will allow us to bring in 2-3 more players. Increasing pricing is not the way forward. Better option would be to crowd fun...

IF YOU MAKE AN EXCUSE FOR IT, YOU ARE DEFENDING THE INDEFENSIBLE. Agreed. This “debacle” isn’t just a few “disgruntled” fans upset over the style of football or the sale of a goalkeeper. Nobody should be subjected to abusive and offensive messages on social media, and especially not people who give...

99.9% in agreement with you (you lost me briefly with the Charlie stuff).
Even if there was others queuing up to take over, we’d very fortunate if any of them were better than what we already have.

Re: Southport V Alfreton - POSTPONED
For any travellers, I’d recommend downloading the Flashscore app and choosing Southport as your favourite side, if you haven’t already.
You’ll get a notification if the game is called off, although not quite as quickly as the goal notifications which come through almost before the ball’s hit the net.

Would be interesting to hear the clubs version of events but suspect they’ll just rather move on.
Disappointed that you didn’t ask him his views on pouring milk into his tea before adding water though.

Now permanent, for an undisclosed fee.
Hopefully frees up a good chunk of the wage bill to tempt Mr Carver back.
