Re: Cam Mason loan

All explained in the chat with LW. Makes sense to me. I’m sure some people log on to Portchat just to try and find something to be furious with the club about. Agreed. It’s great LW has come out and explained - it did need an explanation such was the reaction. Some of the meltdowns on social media ...

A club taken over by Andy Pilley in august
You have to wonder how somebody standing accused of fraud can still buy a football club.

Raffle off a years naming rights. £25 a ticket, five for £100. Surely we've enough stakeholders to flog at least 1000 of them?

Re: Southport P-P Boston United

A ridiculous over-reaction from some “supporters”.

We tried to get the game on, we thought we could, we failed. These things happen.

Thank you to Rabbit and the volunteers who gave up their time to try and get the game on.

Does make you wonder whether these games should be December Tuesday nights rather than a more "summer" game (yes I'm bitter). Spennymoor Vs Boston for us anyway. As you were. Always thought it makes more sense to play Sat Tue Sat Tue while the weather (and pitch) is good. I assume there's...

Re: How will the league pan out?

Why do Telford struggle so much? They get good crowds and that ground is a good standard for any non league club. Crowds are only 900 - 1,100 these days. There was a long interview with Liam during Covid, I forget where, but he spoke about his managerial career so far. He recalled Telford as lookin...

I don't think he was atrocious, he just was some way off this level in my opinion- but in fairness they all were this evening. He definitely isn't very old though, this article suggests he scored for AFC Liverpool U-18s just last season. https://uk.7eliteacademy.com/afc-youth-cup/ Johnny Bravo can’...

Sad really on those stewards from the Everton bunch that were nice, and normal. They didn't act like idiots for no reason and were happy to have a chat whilst doing their job. Some of them were jobsworths and weren't good enough. They didn't protect the Southport fans at the Blackpool friendly at a...

Re: Southport 4-0 Farsley Celtic - Match Thread

Clearly an issue with mason and now Oliver it seems I think Oliver may be carrying an injury. We only have 16 players available. First time I've seen Cam having a kick around at half time. On the theme of squad sizes, it's been three games since we've faced a team able to name a full subs bench.

Re: Southport 4-0 Farsley Celtic - Match Thread

Yes, the most logical thing to change after keeping a clean sheet, swap the keeper out. Indeed, and Buxton aside we have barely conceded since Gloucester. Would you rather keep the best 'keeper in the league happy by playing him or persist with someone who could reasonably have retired 5 years ago?...

I'm currently 24 minutes in to the Podcast - again, a really good listen and a nice discussion about the 'young fans'. For future episodes and I know it won't happen for every episode, could we get some former players on there for a quick twenty min interview on their experiences of the club, the f...

Re: Southport 2 - 2 Brackley - Match Thread

Don’t think Tony Mc was to blame for either of the goals on Tuesday, but as with the Buxton goals you do wonder whether Cam would have done better.

I think you should always start with your best goalkeeper, rather than waiting on your second choice to cost you a goal.
