Thank you and thanks for letting us know about the new year's day game. I had arranged to come up and meet up with some lads who used to come in the league 1974/78 have a day out and go to the game going home early on the 2nd.
That now isn't possible and that 6 less going I'll go to Leamington v Gloucester instead It's a shame but the 2nd isn't doable for all of us. The information you give out to exile fans is invaluable you've given us the opportunity to change our arrangements.
Guiseley should be thrown out as the sending of changed the game what was done to the keeper was disgusting.

Did Southport Vulcan really wear the sponsor's name on their shirts? I'd always assumed the club just took their name.

Yep....

I think this photo is of the reconstituted Southport Vulcan who were elected to the West Lancs League in 1920 though, rather than "us".
But more info on that...

Cheers. Any plans for a book covering 1888-1921?

Tentative plans yes, but it's likely to be some time off.

I've just got back a point from a poor game we had alot of possession but created few chances. I left 5 minutes early and wasn't alone will take the point.
It really is a miserable place on a dank Saturday to visit could have mucked the hens out and got more enthusiasm.

Likely to be some time off, Dan? It’s already 101 years late at a minimum! 😂
