Chorley (a)

Post by Port on the Kent »

This match will be segregated according to their website, tickets can be bought online or on the day. I don't think we have been segregated at Chorley before, but it's sensible after the antics at Haig Avenue. I must say, I prefer segregation because there is always a better atmosphere when everyone is under one roof and not all over the place.

Chorley 0-0 Southport

Att: 1,286 (232 away)

As mentioned on the Darlo thread, with Chorley being the team in the final play-off position this is a six pointer. A win puts us two points off while a defeat would see us behind by eight. Get yourselves down there, no excuses!

The Pilling Lane turnstiles are the ones in the park behind their main stand. Just in case anyone was to spend all afternoon walking up and down Pilling Lane wondering where they were. You can get to those turnstiles from either end of the park, not just from Pilling Lane
We are the nutters, we come from the sea.
We must be nutters to watch SFC.

Chorley 0-0 Southport

Long travel and games in quick succession will be energy sapping. 61.29% of chorley's matches are under 2.5 goals, paired with a cagey local derby feel, this will be a game of attrition. Another team who don't score enough goals, they offset that by only conceding 0.89 goals a game.

That would have been a desperate Xmas! I use futbol24 for my weekend bet analysis ( also Technical Analyst by trade ) - the website has a good level of detail https://www.futbol24.com/team/England/Southport/
My post "Seasonal Projections" did envolve a calculator ;)

Same old scenario - low scoring draw.
