We've introduced a new feature to our weekly podcast...name the mystery sandgrounder.
As a promising youngster he picked up international recognition as a schoolboy, and was nurtured through the youth set up of a first division club by a former Southport goalkeeper.
As a professional he played in every division of the Football League with 7 different clubs.
He had two separate spells as a player at Southport, playing over 200 games, and also spent time as assistant manager under two different managers.
