Because they've passed their ground inspection (whether this was fair or not is down to the FA not me to decide), they stayed up on merit and weren't demoted due to their ground and I don't have to go to Kettering next seasonGambo's Left Boot wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 11:08 pm Why is it fantastic news? Not sure how to put photos on here but I've seen three photos on twitter of brand new turnstiles, new cover and new terracing with barriers. Looks like they've worked their socks off to stay up.

Re: Projections for next season
Oxford city 1 nil up
Now 3-0 this a great game to watch
Now 4-0 still not half time this has been one of the best none league games ive seen this season.
I see City 6 or 7 games a season they are very good snd better than anything ive seen in NLN.
Ross Jenkins is some manager.

Re: Projections for next season
Oxford would've been great as an away trip but unfortunately not to be.
Be interesting to see which side draws the short straw of joining the NLN - Bishops Stortford seems to be on most people's projections

Re: Projections for next season
Only a great game for Oxford City fans. For the rest of us it was a totally one sided match we've seen in a long time, a complete non- event. Embarrassing for poor St Albans who only finished 3 points below Oxford City so presumably are usually of a similar standard to them but froze today.Gloucester man wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 12:38 pm Oxford city 1 nil up

Bishops Stortford is north of Oxford but south of Brackley. Almost level with that great northern strong-hold Luton!PortInTheSouth wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 2:31 pm Oxford would've been great as an away trip but unfortunately not to be.

In fairness, the standard of the NLS is significantly worse than that of the NLN generally.Gloucester man wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 12:38 pm I see City 6 or 7 games a season they are very good snd better than anything ive seen in NLN.

They overtake King's Lynn as the furthest away trip at 223 miles ground-to-ground.PortInTheSouth wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 12:01 pm It's Bishop's Stortford that will be joining the NLN next season
Fully expect it to be scheduled in December, then.

Quicker for me to get there from my mother in law (in Wroclaw, Poland) than my mum's in Southport!Sandgrounder3 wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 12:24 pmVery handy for Stansted airportPortInTheSouth wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 12:01 pm It's Bishop's Stortford that will be joining the NLN next season![]()

Bishops Stortford have already tweeted about the appeals process, hopefully they are successful in their appeal and common sense prevails!PortInTheSouth wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 12:01 pm It's Bishop's Stortford that will be joining the NLN next season

Do they just keep appealing and passing it around until someone's happy?! Or do they go 23 teams in our league and 25 in NLS?!

A few futbology badge holders for completed leagues may be a bit annoyed at the league changes...

Re: Projections for next season
I would expect to see a return of Chorley over the festive period as well looking at the league - seems to split up quite well into 12 pairs this year for that (outside chance of Warrington or Chester though I suppose), but thankfully it looks like we've finally got rid of Curzon on those dates

It'd be good to have a home Boxing Day game.
