Alan McDonald was more versatile than a Swiss Army knife.
Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
Decent signing if it comes off.
Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
Very good signing if we beat the others to it!
Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
Looks like it tonight for a new goalie

Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
Definitely top 3 GKs I've seen at this level this season and it's good to know Liam didn't deliberately try and make do with Tony, and realised we need someone just a little bit younger. Fills the Cam-shaped hole and with him being 6"5 and presumably having a set of levers on him like a digger, what's the betting he's on long throws next season?
Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
On the completion of signing a new goal keeper Liam Watson said, "it became essential when we realised Tony Mac would miss half of our training sessions next season whilst he collects his pension down the post office".

I wish i could have afforded to retire at 41, we must be paying our players far too much

Having said that, what an excellent addition to the squad. We haven't kicked a ball yet but things are looking up.... I'm getting excited about the new season.
Welcome to SFC Chris R, hope you have a pleasant stay.

I trust we've checked that he can get to training?

Welcome to the club, Chris. It won’t be easy though - you’ve got a 41yo club legend to displace

Re: Contenders For Summer Signings
Radcliffe seem to be doing some good transfer business, I'd happily see some of their signings in our squad, Watson needs to pull a few rabbits out of the bag if he's going to convince me that we're not facing another season of mid table mediocrity.

It's still only MAY and you are moaning about what we haven't haven't done. Perhaps it's time to have a discussion with your doctor about Prozac. Enjoy the sunshine !Marsh Harrier wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 7:15 pm Radcliffe seem to be doing some good transfer business, I'd happily see some of their signings in our squad, Watson needs to pull a few rabbits out of the bag if he's going to convince me that we're not facing another season of mid table mediocrity.
