Deja Vu

Re: Deja Vu
I suppose, if we are looking to sign better players, they won't be as quick to sign, as other clubs will be interested as well. All I think we can do is hope for the best at this present time. The quality of incoming players will become more clear within the next three weeks. I would hope anyway.

Re: Deja Vu
If we sign too early some will complain we rush. If we sign too late others will complain. There is some date in the middle where they all complain!

I must look back and see if these were the same responses that I got last year!
Re: Deja Vu
True but (without spoiling the mood!) we really were dreadful last season so the impatience is understandable, if incompatible with how things are done in non-league.Exiled wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 2:39 pmIt’s only June 7th.Redrobe fan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 1:34 pm On June 23 2022 I posted:

Re: Deja Vu
Its quiet on the New Sponsorship front, hopefully it is still happening........
Re: Deja Vu
The end of June is often a significant time, many contracts run out then, especially at bigger clubs.
I am hoping for some new signings, we have some, but it tends to go in waves, we have had a couple in the early May wave, then the end of June brings another. . There will be another at the end of July as players that have gone on trial at bigger clubs and realise they are not going to be taken on lower their aims. . . There is often one in mid August as players have signed for clubs but are not getting a place in the team (this however tends to be non contract players who might be below NLN standard).
Liam and Tommy Lawson will have players noted and be watching who is moving where.
Plenty of time yet

Re: Deja Vu
I wonder if the club have missed a trick here to boost Season Ticket sales, a big name signing for example, to promote interest for the wavering...ideally a goal scorer, I hope promises made will be kept as another season of dross should not be tolerated...over to the club.

Re: Deja Vu
Flowers seems a good signing. I hope that the next two that we have been promised are also in that class.

Re: Deja Vu
Every signing from the same level as us or higher whereas Mr. Gaslighter focuses on the same level and lower. And it will be relevant when they beat us 5-0!couille du chien wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 12:58 pmWhy are scunny’s signings interesting?what relevance is it to port fans !!Marsh Harrier wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 4:27 pm Scunthorpe United Summer Signings make interesting reading compared to our new additions:-
