Massive Game.

Referee for Saturday is Ben Robinson.

Last time he refereed at Haig Avenue, earlier on this season, he gave Banbury an incredibly soft penalty in the 80th min to give them a 1-0 away win. Great.

He also did our 2-2 draw away at Gloucester at the start of 2024.

This was the Banbury pen.

Most fantastic thing about this one is the fact the linesman flags the other way for a dive hahaha

Him on Saturday. Probs Richard Holmes the week after. We just love getting screwed over.

Southport 1-2 Peterborough Sports

They have won 3 on the trot, and we have lost every game we've played against them. This does not bode well.

Big game, tough one as well, they’ve won 3 on the bounce, we’ve gone WLWL in our last four games, so obvious home win 😂.

I was the first to point at the ref last week, but there can be no excuses now. We need to take our chances in front of goal and defend properly so we aren’t at the peril of the officials.

Burgess and Lloyd are suspended, Tyler presumably injured - hopefully Doyle is fit. We’re a number of players down for a crucial game, but it is what it is.

20 away equates to about 10% of their average home gate. We could do with that level of support at our remaining away games.
We need at least 4 points from the next 2 games. A draw against Peterbro would be ok, provided we get 3 pts against Banbury but 2 wins would be ideal.

Should be an interesting game we are threadbare they are on a roll, missing Lloyd is blow.

Renshaw Quansah Hockenhull Arthur Doyle Thomson Hmami Morgan Billington? Carver Archer at a best guess! Take a draw 1 - 1 crowd 750

I expect another awful home defeat, with the usual helpings of excuses and we-woz-robbed stories as we plummet towards Step 3.
But we have to hope.

Morgan and Doyle starting.
Anson and Flowers on bench.
