Sky Sports News showed it just after he missed. It's an absolute shocker. He couldn't believe it. What a player though.
Alan McDonald was more versatile than a Swiss Army knife.

From my limited visits to both, I'd agree that Plymouth is far nicer than Stoke. However Plymouth is miles from anywhere and it's said that he has family on Merseyside. Also he's hardly going to be living in Stoke itself, there's nice places in commuting distance.
And of course, money talks. He's presumably been offered a decent pay rise to tempt him away.

They knew Lowe wouldn't stay , He wouldn't live in Devon, Schumacher appears to he the same.

Thought he had a bit more promise to be fair

Attended their game Vs Hythe today. Sampson could've grabbed more than one as well - couple of chances he squandered. Chorley average but got the job done, not unexpected with that amount of travelling. Friendly enough club Hythe and fair play to the 20/25 or so Chorley fans who made the trip to deepest darkest Kent.
As I said, it is what it is. And what it is is a southern softie wind up merchant

Doug escaped featuring for Grimsby in their 5-5 home draw with Notts County.
