"We will see him here next season, but for who Chris Camara?"

"Uhhh... I don't know Jeff, will we?"

In all seriousness, I really hope he pulls on the old Gold and Black again for us. I don't see Scunthorpe trying to keep him as he hasn't been great for them and there were rumours we tried to sign him near the end of the 'transfer window'.

He’ll be good for them in our league though.

Ross Hannah scored a penalty for Rossington Main in their 3-1 victory over Horbury Town in the NCEFL Division 1 play-off final.

I’m glad I’m a way as he wasn’t much good - managed for 86 days, won 2, drew 3 and lost 10 from 15. Wasn’t he (alarmingly) asked to reapply for his position? I imagine his response contained the same amount of words as his number of wins……

Still no idea what the hell we were thinking that season. Burr would at least have made a fight of it.

Have you seen Steve Burr record post is time with us?

All do to with the game at Wrexham that Jordan Lussey got injured in and the aftermath. Now what was true or not is a wholly different question and we will never know. Only Burr & Watson will.

Can't blame Andy Preece for that though can you? Wright & Lewer, Kevin Davies & then back to Liam who retired in 2012.

Preece was on to a loser anyway really, it was all madness. I'm sure it would have happened anyway at some stage, possibly that season, but it was painful watching us go without a fight.

I’ve just watched Connor Woods scoring Warrington’s fourth in a first half rout of Matlock Town in the Northern Premier semi. Far too good for this level and Town have quite a few quality players. A spectacular first half from Town, they play football and have effective players in every position so it’s been a pleasure to watch them.

Connor if course could be the exception but we all know of players who dominated at one level and where awol at the next. Terry Fearns being a very obvious example.

Looks like he’ll get the chance at NLN level again, only the small matter of Bamber Bridge in the Play off Final to get past.

Ex-Sandgrounders Tony Thompson, Andy White and Mitch Duggan all played a part as well.

Rowan Roache on the losing side for Brig.
