They had a shaky start to the season but have won four from their last five and sit third - and George Newell has started scoring for them.Hat Trick Patrick wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 8:33 am Noticed that George Newell scored a hat trick for Bala Town the other night
For interest, Bala also have Ross White, Bradley Bauress and Paul Rutherford in their squad. If you fancy a weekend away that way, then Bala are a good team to watch with former Wolves and Wales player David Edwards pulling strings.
The New Saints, with Ryan Astles playing as all of their defence, are top.
Connah's Quay, who are currently second in the table, are managed by former Southport player Neil Gibson and coached by former backroom member, Jon McCarthy.
...lots of Southport representation at the top end of domestic Welsh football.
Alan McDonald was more versatile than a Swiss Army knife.

News of a former player who’s a manager - Kevin Lynch has got Prescot Cables up to second in NPL Division One West where they’re only second to Macclesfield. Admittedly it’s very tight at the top but after coming in and turning their season around to survive last season Kevin is doing a very good job this season. https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/nort ... ague-table

I think that'll be his level, seemed terribly out of his depth with us IMO. Hopefully he does well, he seemed an honest type of forward but lacked any real quality.

Really hope Woods comes back with his head on and adds to this team. He has the ability.
Feels like his career is at a crossroads, he can be a spend his days doing backflips in the NPL or can come home, get his head down and look upwards.

I spoke to Liam earlier this week, seems like the door is open.Port on the Kent wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:38 pm Really hope Woods comes back with his head on and adds to this team. He has the ability.

“Connor [Woods] needed to build his confidence, score goals and consistently play 90 minutes. Dylan [Vassallo] at the time, we had a lot of midfielders and he was the one who was going to struggle more than the others to get starts.
“I spoke to Bees, he’s made up with him. It’s what he needs to do, he needs to play regularly and play 90 minutes and get 90 minutes in his legs – which he wasn’t doing with us. So he needs to do that, prove a point and perform.”

It’s worth noting, Connor came from the lower leagues as a trialist and the step up to National League North was huge, albeit he had years to settle and develop. Hopefully this is the start of the resurgence for his form.

George Newell scored in a 4-1 away win for Bala at Haverfordwest yesterday.
The game arguably produced the worst refereeing decision of all time. Haver were 1-0 up after ten mins when this happened:
