James Caton has signed for Bamber Bridge from Nantwich Town. He made his debut last night, coming off the bench in Brig's 2-1 loss to Atherton Colls in the Lancs Challenge Trophy. Journeymantastic.

Also making appearances were Rowan Roche for Brig, and Clive Smith for Colls.

I only want what's best for him.

This will look like quite a sinister exchange to those without a working knowledge of XTC's earlier singles.

Great to see that Dion Charles scored a brace of goals for Northern Ireland in their Euro qualifier against San Marino. Well done Dion. The first two and many more to come I hope.

I note that Connor Woods made his second debut for Warrington in their 3-1 win at home to Liversedge & set up the second goal while Issac Buckley Ricketts scored the third.

Morgan Homson -Smith scored twice for Longridge in their 4-2 win

Sandbach Utd maintained their playoff push - the connection to Southport is Derek Goulding who is the assistant manager.
I was at Burscough game and very entertaining it was… but bloody freezing!
Sandbach utd are NWCL Div 1 south so good luck to derek but asst manager role there cant be one of the top jobs in football
Looks like Burscough will be at the same level as Sandbach next season be good to have Derek back at Burscough if he would consider it he worked wonders at the club including being a replay away from playing Man U in the FA cup after Remyca seems he struggled for a placement ,dont know why , would be good to have Goulding and Jockie in charge again .

Jamie Milligan and John Hills currently have Bamber Bridge in 2nd place in the league below us. 7 wins in the last 8 including a 2-1 win with ten men vs top of the league South Shields on Saturday.

James Caton the only former Port player there, I believe.

Aaron Chalmers is captaining Prestwich Heys tonight against West Didsbury & Chorlton. They must be mad to give him that sort of responsibility!

Jamie Milligan is doing a fantastic job at bamber bridge on a shoestring , playing a style of football that is a joy to watch.
Oh to have him at haig ave next season playing football on the grass with width and movement .
About as much chance as no chance he will go on to bigger an better i suspect and doesnt fit the airborne philosophy of watsonball .

Didn’t Milligan have a run in with a few fans as well?
