No. Terry, Tommy and Simon in the dugout.

Heath was absolutely fantastic today, and already looks an absolute coup. He has the ability to almost play in any position going forward and look comfortably natural doing it, which is especially rare and something neither Watson nor Woods can do. Quansah was more of a number 9 than Archer today and played well as ever. Munro also played well, and it was nice to see Woods back. Apart from Archer and Cam (who had nothing to do really) anyone would be deserving of the MOTM tonight.

There was a massive difference between squires gate last week and Runcorn this week. Runcorn were terrible. Absolutely terrible.
The result doesn't flatter us at all, but had it not been for poor finishing it could easily (and I do mean EASILY) have been double figures.
I don't think many played particularly well to be honest. Hard to play well when there almost no challenge.

Couldnt make it tonight, glad Woods and Heath started and Goudie got on for a few minutes didnt think it would be much of a test looking at Runcorns form but its good Heath has got on the score sheet and 90 minutes playing time . Did Connor do the somersault celebration following his goal ?

He didn't unfortunately, all celebrations were understandably quite muted given the opposition. He's saving it for Saturdayoptimickstic wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:49 pm Couldnt make it tonight, glad Woods and Heath started and Goudie got on for a few minutes didnt think it would be much of a test looking at Runcorns form but its good Heath has got on the score sheet and 90 minutes playing time . Good..we need to incorporate the somersault into opposition gk distraction at set pieces.David_1276 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 11:02 pmHe didn't unfortunately, all celebrations were understandably quite muted given the opposition. It was Hilarious seeing Jordon practice missing from Three yards out but good on him he got it right in the end.
You could tell Liam wasn’t there they kept passing on the ground and Cam kept passing the ball out to his own players.
Very entertaining and believe it or not apart from poor finishing they all played well.
I think with Carberry and the two Heaths and Wood back we are getting there.

The standard at NWCL div1 N & S bar a few clubs is pretty poor. I've seen a few games and the step 7 clubs that were promoted have had no problems adapting.DanHayes wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:59 pm There was a massive difference between squires gate last week and Runcorn this week. There is a big gulf between step 5 - NWCL prem and step 6.

Wasn't at the game but (™) Runcorn's manager walked out on Friday taking about 16 players with him. What fans saw last night probably wasn't indicative of the level of usual quality at step 6, but rather a group of players who had been signed in an emergency and had never played together before.Paulisi wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 7:15 amThe standard at NWCL div1 N & S bar a few clubs is pretty poor. You could be right it looked like a dads and lads team.
But gave our lads a good work out to show skills we don’t usually see.
It makes it look like they are not usually allowed to.Some of the footwork was brilliant as was the long passing from wing to wing and the fact our keeper threw or rolled the ball out to our players and not just boot it long usually to the opposition hoping for the second ball.
