Match delayed to 8pm ko.
"Traffic issues" apparently.
Team coach set off half an hour before me, and I got here at 6.30pm.

Watson drills a shot in, beats keeper, but comes back off far post.

8 away support, unless anyone else here would care to joing our throng behind the Blyth keeper!

Not sure how this is still goalless. Oh yes I do, the liner calls it offside when it clearly was not. Another good move down the right from Port, Hmami picks out Watson at far post for a tap in.

surely these game-on-game horrendous officiating decisions have to turn in our favour eventually!

Good chances for both sides and even accounting for the disallowed, there should have been more goals first half.

Best performance of the season. The support was outstanding tonight bob dave bacon leading a 20 minute long ‘yellow army’ in the second half will live long in the memory. Onwards to Telford.

Rinse and repeat tonight, played well in spells and created enough chances to win six matches. Due to a combination of officiating and dismal finishing we are on the end of another sickener. I am going to try and recall all the golden chances we had in order but I might have forgotten some such was the glut.

Woods cuts in from the right and fires straight at the keeper.
Watson cuts in from the left and the ball bounces off the inside of the post.
Woods cuts in from the right and shoots at the keeper again.
Woods crosses low across goal and Watson taps home ruled offside (extremely tight, replay needed).
Bainbridge side foot volley from a cross looks destined for the far side netting but flashed wide.
Bainbridge has one off the line from a corner.
Woods crosses to a sliding Archer who can't make contact a yard out.
Hmami free kick a foot over.
(Half time)
Miles gets on the end of a deep cross and heads home ruled offside (looked well onside and even the referee was shrugging).
Keeper flaps at a cross and is on the floor, Heath has an open net but finds the one defender on the line.
Miles through on goal six yards out, straight at the keeper.

Blyth had a goal and two other good chances when put through which required Tony Mac to come out and close the angle.

The spotlight will (again) be on the disallowed goals but they shouldn't matter. Any team with decent forward options scores four or five and those decisions become details. But we are so goalshy we leave ourselves at the mercy of one off calls. The linesman got at least one wrong, but it's the sixth tier and they will make mistakes. We see in the Premier League every week that elite officials get them wrong too. But this run of feeling 'robbed' stems from missing another hatful.

Everybody can see we have a good team with nobody to put the ball in the net. Heath is not the answer. Archer is an enigma; he oscillates from being red hot to a waste of space.

For goodness sake, I don't care if it's a short term loan or whatever, we have to bring a forward in because nine tenths of our play is good and this weak as piss, goalshy, toothless, spineless "attack" is undermining all our efforts.

Goodnight.

We was robbed, unlucky, maybe one more big chuck in to the box might have done it,was Archer playing?

I wasn't barmy enough to be at tonight's game but it's encouraging to hear Miles played well again at least, hopefully he'll be ready in a couple of years to become a regular goalscorer. It would've been brilliant for his confidence if his goal wasn't (presumably wrongly) ruled out. If we keep playing the way we are I don't think many teams can live with us and our midfield issue has, by means of player development and tactical tweaks, near enough fixed itself from what I've seen recently. If we get that cutting edge we could finally be in a position, at least until we have to sell the best players, to clinch a top 7 finish but unlike the midfield problem I don't think that can be fixed from within.
