We've introduced a new feature to our weekly podcast...name the mystery sandgrounder.
1. He played over 600 games in the Football League for 9 different clubs, 2 of whom who no longer exist.
2. After failing to make the grade as a youngster at Liverpool, he was later signed for one of these clubs by Liverpool's all time leading goalscorer.
3. After leaving Liverpool he became a member of a successful Southport Youth team and also played for teams in the Liverpool youth leagues, electing to play against Southport in a youth cup final, scoring a winning penalty.
