Re: Southport 1-0 Chorley - Match Thread

Just wanted to add to the praise for the commentary and camera work, all excellent, thank you.
Liam's interview much better than previously and a good solid performance from the whole team on the field.
Keep up the good work everybody!

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

I totally agree with Mr Grumpy (Redrobe Fan). I look forward to all the matches, even the Friendlies, and went to a couple of them. I get upset and dispirited when we lose - ask my wife! So does my pal, (ask his wife!). Liam seems to be not too bothered in his interviews. We have lost some good inco...

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

Who decided on the penalty takers? Benjamin (1 shot in the game), Oliver (0 shots in the game). Watson should have been on near the end if only to take a penalty, Anson wasn't required as a substitute. Sampson?? Fitness was poor and after so many pre-season games! Management should be doing better! ...

Re: TODAYS LOG IN

Excellent coverage both on screen and sound. Commentaries first class. Thanks to all involved, including the programme. I liked the new tactics when we played the poorer teams in the friendlies, but it seems that when we play the stronger teams we will always be a man short in midfield. Until Marcus...

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

Seems to be a lot of folk could not connect yesterday, which is a shame. I'm afraid it is down to your equipment, not the Club! I was lucky and had a superb picture and very good sound on my several years old PC and I want to congratulate all concerned on a great service. For me as a Member everythi...

Re: What Is Southport Conservative MP Doing About This Issue ?

I have also sent an email to Damien Moore, but as he is not my MP I do not expect a worthwhile response from him. I have also emailed my own MP, Christian Wakeford, telling him of our plight but referring more generally to the National League as a whole. I feel that the more pressure that is put on ...

Re: So. What happens next?

I don't agree with you Paulisi. There are 70 plus teams in the National League comprising many full time and semi professional football players mostly on contract. It would be total disaster to make them all redundant. The season must carry on, initially behind closed doors until spectators can begi...

Re: Virus

Gloucester says that the season should be cancelled. This is totally impractical because players are on contract. Games will have to be played behind closed doors if necessary at National League, NLN and NLS levels. Some method of streaming must be devised for all clubs in these leagues with viewers...

Re: Macclesfield Town

So vital for us all to keep backing the Port financially as much as possible. Every bit counts I should think. Could do with a few more donations into the Floodlight Ram appeal. Everybody spread the word. great job by James as usual but he needs to put out another appeal.

Re: Nelson 0 - 3 Southport

Well done Jonny! Can't beat raging optimism in this dark world! And to answer another poster, of course it is worth playing these games. As a training exercise for Liam it must be excellent, much better than standard training. Winning becomes a habit and a great habit to get in to. Admittedly these ...

Re: Membership

You are wrong on this one Paulisi and I must agree with Kenicke! The Club needs all the financial support it can get. The Board, staff and volunteers are doing a great job and it looks like the team are starting to gell too. So pay up willingly with a membership or season ticket and let's get this s...

Re: FT: Southport 9 - 2 Longridge Town

My guess - Liam referring to George Newell. If he does reasonably well in the first half of the season and scores a few goals Accrington will take him! This would be a shame but I suppose it is the only way we will survive (by selling on players). Don't suppose we will get more than a few thousand f...

Re: Will YOU Be Returning?

I'll be back asap. Need to use my new membership! Come on guys, let's get those floodlights sorted! Would love to go to away games too as I live in Manchester and there are several grounds near here, but that may not be possible for a time unfortunately. Ian, James and all are doing a grand job. Let...
