Re: Season declared null and void
If 6 teams want to play as a mini league let them get on with it as long as they accept the normal terms. Each team plays each other home and away, the team who finishes 1st goes up automatically, the bottom 3 go down. If they’re all happy with that then so am I. If they're spreading Covid-19 I'm n...

Re: Liam Watson post match
What happens if the season is aborted? Furloughing can’t continue indefinitely, so can we keep the nucleus of a team together or will we just have to start again from scratch when we are able to resume? Some scientist said today it will be ‘a few years’ before big sporting events resume. Even if cr...

Re: Match Thread Halifax Town v Southport - FA Trophy
Excellent victory for port well done. Great way to sign off the season. See you in August Very good win in bad conditions I did not think the match would be on. No reason to stop the season just get on with playing under lockdown rules. Apart from 1600 dead every day and the players aren't getting ...

Re: Carry on football!
Just heard liam's podcast interview I am 100% behind everything he said, let nil and void the season , I have a couple of close relatives with covid and a work colleague in a serious condition in hospital time to see sense null and void the season NL now!!! Darlington team coach 700 miles, no covid...

Re: Halifax FA Trophy
I'm sure this game will be off. What a profoundly depressing interview with Liam. Just admits we haven't a hope of getting promoted, that the emphasis is simply on blooding young (actually not so young - 22 year olds are not young footballers) players and selling them on. This is apparently realism...

Re: Darlington off
I suppose that the two sufferers will be out for a while. What makes you say that? Not everyone who has Covid is on a ventilator hanging on for life like the government would have you believe. The full range of symptoms and outcomes of this disease are well known. I can categorically guarantee that...

Re: Carry on football!
Whether I agree or not with you is totally irrelevant. No it's not. Everybody in ths Country is being asked to restrict their every day life -and yet football-yes bloody football is carrying on just to satisfy the sponsors. Well sorry if you disagree, but for me every day normality and life is more...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton
I can honestly say the current run of league form will not continue for the entire remainder of the season. It will undoubtedly improve and we won't go down. Why 'undoubtedly'? The current run of 5 league games without a win won't become 33 games without a win. The last 3 league and cup games show ...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton
As a fan surely we are entitled to opinion. And since the forum has re launched I have just had gripe with the manager being past his sell by date which seems to be shared by quite a number of people on this forum. As for the rest of the board I have nothing but respect for the work Ian, James, Chr...

Looking at the other teams in this league it's acceptable.
Struggling to stay in this league, well that is not good enough.

Re: FT: Guiseley 4 - 2 Southport
If someone could one day explain the henious crimes Liam Watson inflicted on a section of our fan base I'd love to know. The only consistent good times in the last 20 years have been with him in charge; yet people seem desperate for him to fail at any given opportunity. Frankly it beggars belief. Y...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
I agree with virtually everything you say here YTT. My only gripe being- with having the hope of returning to at least one higher level of football. Surely that should be a minimum target-otherwise what is the point? When you reach a certain point in life you reflect quit a lot including your team,...
