Re: Gateshead V Southport - Match Thread

I’ve seen us play worse and win. So let’s not go completely overboard on a bad day at the office. We didn’t deserve to concede four - and we matched Gateshead for large spells. It’s just one of those freak scorelines. We deserved to lose but this toxic post mortem isn’t appropriate, IMO It was an a...

Re: Gateshead V Southport - Match Thread

JG - we have to be more ambitious than this. Yes, there were moments when we weren’t so bad, and football is a game where things can go wrong or right almost by chance. But after ten games it’s difficult to see any progress from last season. I know we’ve been lower than this, but what kind of conso...

Re: Bradford P.A.

Yet another football club trying to catapult themselves into the EFL ala Harrogate and Maidstone (recently National Lge) via the plastic route. It needs stopping, and I can't believe their isn't more protest and resistance to it from other clubs. Football is a grass pitch sport. Seeing as we rarely u...

Re: FT: Telford 1 - 1 Southport - Match Thread

How are Gloucester up there? Have they suddenly got lots of money? Yet another team overtaking us. The story of the last 40 years as more and more go by. Why do we just keep accepting that the best we can do is somewhere between 6th and 12th? For every Gloucester there's a Buxton, Salisbury, Maccle...

[quote=Ste_B post_id=1898 time=1604236551 user_id=270 so I do wonder what people really expect from the team.

Can't be bothered to work out PPG, but win 50%, draw 25%, lose 25% would be a comfortable play-off place pretty much every year.
1.10 points per game is always enough to avoid relegation.

* Avoid attending amateur and semi-professional sporting events as spectators.
Talk about passing the buck.
That's what I thought. This implies that SFC should not admit any fans until these new restrictions are lifted?
