Re: Southport 1-0 Chorley - Match Thread

Top job Nic and Rob, really enjoyed your commentary. It’s certainly not the same as being there, but I’m beginning to enjoy the streaming service.

Re: TODAYS LOG IN

The coverage was superb tonight, didn’t drop out once. The pitch looks to be in excellent condition. I think a mention for the match officials is in order tonight, we are quick to criticise the bad ones, (quite rightly), but in the three games played at Haig Ave. this season, they have been really o...

Moore is a total waste of space, about as much use as an ashtray on a motor bike.

Re: Fa cup

It sounds like the government will not bail out the lower league clubs, they are trying to get the prem clubs to pay. I fear we will have a stand off and I can see all step 2 clubs postponing the FA Cup matches if no resolution before Thursday. So the Government bring in these Draconian rules and e...

Copied from the Club website: Where an Elite Club is playing a Non-Elite Club: Where the match is played at the Elite Club’s ground, the match must be played behind closed doors (i.e. with no spectators permitted to be in attendance) Where the match is played at the Non-Elite Club’s ground, spectato...

Re: So. What happens next?

If the NLN is mothballed as seems a possibility at the moment, I wonder how South Shields will feel about the prospect of winning their league again, and not being promoted.

Re: Update from James Tedford 24/09/20

 It’s important that the football authorities keep pressure on the Government to reverse or modify its policy on stadia at our level. U turns are not unknown at present... Maybe Southport’s MP should be involved? Though I’ve been told that he lives in Chorley and has little interest in the town...

Regardless of what happens this season, I will continue to pay my monthly membership, and I hope that others will do the same.

Macclesfield Town

Just been reading on the BBC that Macclesfield Town has been wound up. Sadly, another long standing Northern club gone to the wall.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

Not about former player but about former Chief Executive!!🤣🙈 Oldham Athletic Managing Director Natalie Atkinson has left the club. Sources close to the club have informed the Chronicle that Ms Atkinson, who joined the Boundary Park outfit in June, 2019, had been "relieved of her duties" in a surpri...

Re: Warrington 0-4 Southport - Match day thread

Really enjoyed watching a ‘live’ game for the first time in six months. It looks like Liam has put a half decent team together. Warrington Town officials deserve a mention for their efforts to keep us safe, hand sanitizer around the ground and seating spaced out. Unfortunately, a lot of the Warringt...

Re: Will YOU Be Returning?

Whilst I’m not keen to go into a restaurant or a pub, I do feel that the outside environment of a football stadium, particularly with the regime that Ian and James have outlined, is as safe as can be. I have purchased a membership, mainly as a gesture of support to the club and I’m looking forward t...
