Re: What can supporters do to help?

It does however seem a tad ironic that the side of the political spectrum that is calling for the protection of free speech, and its not difficult to tell which side the members of the forum who are moaning about criticism (bunch of snowflakes could ironically be labeled here) is also trying to tell...

Re: What can supporters do to help?

There is a chance that won't change in the future. Obviously previously Labour had a local candidate as it was never a target seat. Now, near enough every prediction sticks Southport as a Labour target and LDs basically no where. Hopefully if Labour give it full force they don't lose sight that a ca...

Re: National League up the anti

I'm surprised those plonkers havent realised millions worked through the pandemic because millions had to. Football is not a necessity for a functioning society, the fact that its the football clubs are the ones having the point that out is just plain odd. Usually plenty of people like to point out ...

Re: All matches off

Arguably slightly of topic. I’m all for transparency from SFC - which I must say at times is absolutely great to see, however a recent tweet or maybe tweets in particular the one with the wording “The gift that keeps on giving!‘’ ~ doesn’t seem particularly professional, and seems to have been shar...

The writing is on the wall when we are unloading our best players Talk about an over reaction. We're hardly unloading players like we did with Gilchrist etc to teams around us, he's gone to a team 3 leagues above where a former teammate is thriving and is on the path to maybe one day in the Prem on...

Re: Carry on football!

I get that they want it being repaid, but I don't understand the need for the 2% interest. 2% is more than I pay for my mortgage for a start, ok these arent secured against property, but with them being forced into them I find it a little galling to demand to make a profit from them. If anything it ...

Re: Carry on football!

Is beach sand not owned by anyone? FWIW I think that between high and low tide marks it belongs to the crown. Technically all land belongs the Crown. Taking sand is against the law though and you need a licence for it provided you can prove it wouldn't have a detrimental effect on coastal erosion, ...

Re: Carry on football!

Which current Premier League players live in Southport? I don't think its the popular choice it was in the 1980s. Sterling bought John Ball's old house down Selworthy when he first broke onto the scene but soon sold that. Leighton Baines did for a long while was one of Charlie's close neighbours on...

I'll admit I was one of the few who wondered this Ian Kyle bloke was who came in from seemingly nowhere.

But I think he is the perfect custodian for the club, and exactly what we need right now.

Re: Carry on football!

I read in the Sunday paper that Raheem Stirling gets paid £1,000,000 per month net of tax, thereby hangs the tail, rich get richer poor get poorer I dont think the authorities give one about lower league clubs, they are probably seen as an inconvenience, answer go & watch Rugby League good hone...

Freedom of speech is about freedom from the government. People are free to say what they want on someone elses website, just as much that person has the right to not host it.

Thankfully Portchat is not the government.
