Paul Cook's ill fated side played lovely football to begin with and look what happened to them.
First half against Morecambe was probably some of the best football seen at Haig Ave in years.

Re: Southport 2-3 Altrincham - CUP FEVER - Match Thread

Experience and confidence was what lacking on Saturday. An older header to help calm things, steady the ship and be vocal. It was obvious we are where we are in the league and the lack of confidence showed. We never really wanted to hold the ball and every player just wanted to get rid of it as soon...

Re: Club Statement on player abuse

Having just seen the statement I am angered by the incident occurring but pleased by the clubs swift stance. Totally agree. Also angered and also the reaction by the club is great and one that i'm sure the player targeted and their teammates will be pleased to see the club on top of it immediately.

Re: Assistant manager

Now on the official website:

https://southportfc.net/terry-mcphillip ... t-manager/

Real pedigree and experience there.

Maybe an ideal marriage too. Liam just managing and Terry doing the coaching as Terry has previously said he's not interested in the managing side.

Re: Spennymoor 0-0 Southport - I'm coming down with a bad case of Cup Fever - Match Thread

I offered to pay for it (on here) but no response from the club. Do you expect the club to chase up such offers made by anonymous people on message boards? If you’re serious about making such a generous offer then you should contact them directly. Thats nonsense. I'm not anonymous. I'm a shareholde...

Track and trace £37billion.

We don't need trees to find the money seemingly.

The policy isn't perfect. Of course we can't verify everyone off a given name, though we try when necessary. A policy of a "non gmail/hotmail" email address could be used, although a bit late 200 users deep. The other possibility is a social media login. I've never quite agreed with banni...

If such was the case, i sincerely hope the Police would make a better job of prosecuting the lawless rioters than Btistol did. Prison is the place for these people, mob rule must never be allowed to take over, all the reasons for taking the statue down went when it was taken off it's plinth as did ...

Re: Southport 2-0 Marine - Match Thread

Yes, the pitch appears to have been narrowed on the Main Stand side now. How is that possible? How could one side be narrower than the other? Err by moving the goalposts? Err so its not narrower on one side then is it? It may have just been shifted over (which makes sense lots of space on pop side)...

For me, bringing on Martin Clark at Stevenage said to me we were going down. A good player, but not one to get you goals or win you a game. Markedly different from many many years later when we go back with Liam as manager at Stevenage get a penalty in front of the away end. Liam see's who is going ...
