Re: Dr Who
I think Moogs would break a few Cybermens legs but the only trouble being he`d get sent off before he`d dealt with all of them. Sorry Moogs no disrespect, wish we had you back now we could do with that extra bite in midfield.

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton
I`m sick and tired of the standard of the officials at this level, dubious free kicks, both side should only have had ten men on at the end of the game. I know most people are fed up with VAR and the errors that is making proves my point because it`s not interpreted properly by those who should know...

Re: Match Thread - Spennymoor V Southport
Much better shape 4-3-3 and would start Newell for Carver every time. Antwi made a difference in midfield and Woods was the difference when he came on. Keeper unlucky twice in the shoot out but once again showed what a good shot stopper he is and well deserves the plaudits. Once again wonder where t...

Re: Southport 1 - 1 Alfreton
Who appointed that referee, absolute disgrace and there seems to be a lot at this level. Nobody goes to a football match to be entertained by the officials, this guy wasn`t entertaining but he obviously attracted the attention of everyone both on and off the pitch for the wrong reasons.

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2
Sadly I won`t be at these matches as I live in Lancashire and as I`m in my 70s I don`t want to take the risk but was pleased that matches are still to be streamed. Like everyone I`m looking forward to when things get back to fully normal and of course the vaccines give us the hope that that will be ...

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2
Liverpool may be Labour controlled but they've been doing what the Gov wants and have been cited by Boris in a positive way. The numbers are down, so its possible that they might be dropped from 3 to 2. Whether Southport ought to be in a Liverpool District is a whole new discussion - but dont get m...

BackoftheNet and Roday 1878 Totally agree with you, I`m an old fella who did play football my big moan are some of the referees, the two direct free kicks given for simulation against York being a good example.

Re: Gateshead live stream
I had no problems with Telford, Blythe or Kettering but saw none of the Bradford match, the cost of the 1st three ranged between £8 and £10 while the latter was only £5. Bradford were profuse in their apologies and said we would all get a refund, that remains to be seen when my bank statement appear...

Re: RIP Tony Waiters
Stan Rimmer was a steward at Haig Ave until about 18 months ago and I have a photo of him and my brother at Southport station, Stan was a good player as were several of the lads that played in that team. Stan and I often talked about those days and I kept him up to date about my bro who emigrated to...

Re: RIP Tony Waiters
Tony played for Southport Amateurs(Leyland Road) a club formed mainly by lads who went to KGV one of whom was my brother and being so much younger I used to go along to watch them on Saturday afternoons playing in the Lancashire Amateur League. I would lean on one of Tony`s goalposts and of course h...

Commentary awful, pitch like a ploughed field, Morgan to be honest one of the worst games I`ve seen him play. got most of the game but missed the goal through buffering. Mo Ali easily the best player on the park and thought Carver worked hard but if we can win badly as we did tonight then hopefully ...

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread
The first 45 were spent in their half I can`t remember them creating one chance. Second half they came in to it a bit more but on the whole the opposition were poor. I thought the commentary was rubbish, all ifs, buts and maybes and overall I think we need a wide man who can cause problems for our o...

Well done Rob and Nic the coverage was great, no one has mentioned the camera operator who also did a fantastic job following the play in to the stand side corners which didn`t happen in the previous matches. Liams summing up was a fair reflection of the match and shows he is striving to make improv...

RF your lucky to have a teenage niece handy, my grandkids are 10,000 miles away in Oz but after initial problems of the buffering ring and some fiffing and faffing with technology I know nothing about I downloaded Java and got a very good reception on my PC. "Happy Days" roll on Tuesday an...
