Re: Match Thread - Southport V Big Professional Torquay
Proud of the guys today. No apparent hole left by Morgan - and his absence may have freed a few players to step up in both position and style.

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Big Professional Torquay
Good first half. Some good progressive football going forward and unlucky not to score late in 1st half. Certainly not overawed or being outplayed by Torquay.

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy
This is the time and opportunity to step up as an SFC fan. The club and management needs all the help it can get in both £s and a boost to the management’s morale. Put yourself in their shoes. Through a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic (and not through any form of mismanagement), the club finds itself in...

Our best business is being done away from Haig Ave as Dion scores again today for Acc. His sell on value progressing with the season.

Re: Guiseley 4 - 2 Southport
QED We have not shown or tried anything different from previous weeks. Results and tables don't lie. Losing to a relegation-threatened side by such a margin is a prophetic result for our own position unless the necessary changes are made. The team on the pitch are the personell hand-picked by Liam. ...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
Dan kept.us in it with an excellent save in 1st half. How.many shots did we have on target?
Looking forward to hearing the post match interview.
What was our plan?
What didi and didn't go to plan?
How is Saturday going to be different and an improvement?

Re: Matchday thread: Southport v Farsley
Currently being outfought and out thought by Farsely. They are doing the basics well. Their no9 is bossing our defence. They are playing it well on the floor to feet in space on a lovely surface. We continue to prefer.playing percentages and long balls. Missing Challoner on the right. Our subs hopef...

Re: Gateshead V Southport - Match Thread
For those who were able to watch the game would have been able to see that over the 90 mins we were not outplayed on the pitch. We had plenty of good possession. Good number of creative chances and we were not outfought on the pitch. We matched them in most areas and probably created more chances. T...

Re: Bradford (Park Avenue) 0-2 Southport - Match Thread
The impact of the playing surface at BPA on our performance and result should not be underestimated. We were able to play ball playing forwards and were able to get the ball forward more quickly on a truer surface. Faster more direct and ball dribbling forwards are able to perform better on a more c...

Re: Southport 0-1 Boston - Match Thread
On an afternoon of trying to look for positives on and off the pitch, one thing that has improved the game in Covid times and should be retained going forward is the availability of spare match balls on the touchline. Stops time wasting and enables quick throwins if desired.

Re: Rumours on jack
Good business, for us and Jack. It frees us up to use our newer forwards who play in a more dynamic style. I felt he had plateaued in his development and in what he was bringing to the team. This was evident when comparing the preseason scoring tallies of our forwards. Interesting to see if or how h...

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread
Great result and won the important battles on the pitch. Bold move by Watson to start without Jack on the bench and it worked well. Hope he's ok. Perhaps he could help in the commentary box next week. Having a player to commentate was an effective touch by the Blyth media team.

Re: FT: Nantwich Town 1 - 2 Southport
I decided late to travel the 1hr30 trip south to Nantwich, a ground I hadn't been to - interested to see the Yellows for the first time since March, and the new squad additions playing in a way that had been producing goals. I was looking forward to seeing how this fed into a match against a good op...
