Re: National League Funding

York as we have said got a £2 + m sell on clause for Ben Godfrey which I suspect they knew was happening before they scabbed their vote to try and shaft the rest of the league. It would have been justice if they had received sweet fanny adams.

Re: Southport 1-0 Chorley - Match Thread

A win is a win so well done, similar to SS game where again we ran out of steam around 65 mins , fortunately changes made on time and we continued to defended stoutly, got lucky due to poor finishing and just got over the line. No goals yet in 4 in the Jack Carr stand end . The result sets us up nic...

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

Won 1 drawn 2 - you can’t really count a loss on penalties as a defeat! How would you list last nights match then - it’s wasn’t a draw......because we are not in the hat for the next round. I would say that after 90 minutes (i.e. the length of a normal football match ) it was a draw. Is that diffic...

Re: TODAYS LOG IN

Excellent coverage both on screen and sound. Commentaries first class. Thanks to all involved, including the programme. I liked the new tactics when we played the poorer teams in the friendlies, but it seems that when we play the stronger teams we will always be a man short in midfield. Until Marcu...

Re: Kettering v Southport

It would be fair, reasonable and a magnanimous gesture if the FA cup Total Proceeds were divided 50:50 in games where COVID means forfeiture. In theory we could win it if every team we’re meant to play goes down with COVID beforehand

Re: Dave Roberts - RIP

Maybe the administrators could set up a 4th headline group/ topic under Southport FC e.g “ in Memorium” and include RIP notices there as I feel Good supporters Like Dave deserve to be remembered and acknowledged in their own right without being lost in the maelstrom of less important Subjects where ...

Re: Kettering v Southport

If they’re still in the cup and the can’t play this week then they’ll all get binned off by the FA and forfeit their games . South Shields at Bamber Bridge today thus far and we get a rest day so can focus on Tuesday, assuming we don’t get players who test positive In between times ; it’s certainly ...

Re: Kettering v Southport

I don't understand why you would leave your two top scorers on the bench and then bring them on to win the game or save the game? Get in front and then you can use your subs to make sure that you win surely! I get what you’re saying, And you’re right to some extent but they’re both very lightweight...

Re: Kettering v Southport

I suspect he’ll start with a back five including Anson and jack Doyle, bainbridge, Benjamin and Morgan and Jack and Marcus up front. I think it’ll be an industrial game so he will use George and Niall to either chase the game ( hopefully not) or try and win it. If we get a point and beat South Shiel...

How come Liverpool played then ? They had players who were positive; not sure what’s the difference between them and Bradford, unless they test everybody else and Bradford can’t afford to do that .

Likely postponement, looking at the pitch on the Highlights on Saturday the powers that be haven't addressed the problem of the Scarisbrick New Road end Penalty area, & its a long way for Hereford to travel.... The pitch never used to have this problem? The Scarisbrick end was always ok! It started...

Re: Fundraiser

Yes great effort , Harry’s great grandad played for the club and his Grandad is a very willing and hard working volunteer at the Club every week and is a Port fan through and through, so Harry’s keeping up the family tradition in a “great” fashion 👍👏👏👏👏
