Re: Match Thread Halifax Town v Southport - FA Trophy
Outstanding effort by the team given the circumstances, sounds like they put up a real fight against a strong Halifax team.

Re: Match Thread - Spennymoor V Southport
Congratulations to the team for progressing, it was a result few would have envisioned after the Guiseley debacle. Hopefully, the team will continue to move forwards and will take a lot of confidence from the overall result.

Re: FT: Guiseley 4 - 2 Southport
The Guiseley commentary team had shown a past game between the sides, finished 1-1. The gulf between present and past Southport sides is massive, just to name some.

Re: FT: Guiseley 4 - 2 Southport
There's going to be a lot of angry fans after that debacle, myself being one of them. Today I watched 11 players going through the motions, either limited by the formation, attitude or ability. Can someone please tell me what 5 at the back brings to the table, especially against sides scrapping for ...

Re: Matchday Thread: Guiseley v Southport
Started well but we appeared to fade as the half went on. Guiseley looking dangerous with powerful runs and on occasion breaking right through the midfield. When we have passed it through the midfield we have looked quite capable, Newell has dropped deep to cover the overlap but by doing so there is...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
Only a quarter of the way into the season and Saturdays game is already shaping up to be a big one. The visitors have managed 1 win in 7 games ( win secured at home to Farsley  ), their form has been nothing short of dire and throw in some horrific collapses ( 3-0 up at leam at half-time, lose...

Re: Bradford (Park Avenue) 0-2 Southport - Match Thread
Season over. It's time for Watson to say it was what it was. Goals are just predictable. Anyone expecting Mr Watson to take responsibility for anything are sadly deluded, this shambles will continue indefinitely. This indicates we are mid table mediocrity once again. Some things need changing asap. ...

His kicks are that strong it looks as though he's kicking for territory. He'd make a good rugby fullback.

Re: Bradford P.A.
Yet another football club trying to catapult themselves into the EFL ala Harrogate and Maidstone (recently National Lge) via the plastic route. It needs stopping, and I can't believe their isn't more protest and resistance to it from other clubs. Football is a grass pitch sport. Perhaps, but it's rep...

Re: Southport 2-3 York City - Match Thread
To lose the game in that fashion is extremely disappointing, naivety cost us. Poor decision making has costs us 4/6 points in the last two games, it’s so cliche, but you’re at your most vulnerable when you score. Judging by our results, we’ve attained points against teams we’d expect and lost agains...

Re: FT: Telford 1 - 1 Southport - Match Thread
How are Gloucester up there? Have they suddenly got lots of money? Yet another team overtaking us. The story of the last 40 years as more and more go by. Why do we just keep accepting that the best we can do is somewhere between 6th and 12th? The answer is yes, loads of it. Unlike us, when we had i...

Re: Rumours on jack
Been a great ambassador for the club on the community front, so wish him well. On the field, I’m not too concerned as long as we have a back up plan and don’t persevere. Never going to bag you many goals, puts in a shift but falls short of the standard required for a playoff chasing side.

Following the success of the floodlight ram fundraising appeal, is there any appetite to set up any further fundraising projects in the future? The projects could be laid out in a poll and voted for by the supporters?

Re: Southport v Chorley
Although Chorley have lost their opening 2 games in the league, their loses have come against teams challenging for the title, one of which they subsequently beat days later. All about how we line-up for me, we need to be a bit more canny in our build up play, lumping forward won't cut it. Fear more...

Re: Live Streams
There was a editorial piece done on live streaming which looked at Colchester's financial plight under new guidelines. The games will be streamed by the home team only. I believe that the away side only get a percentage of the live stream sales once the away side had sold beyond an allocation, as a ...

Re: Update from James Tedford 24/09/20
Echo what has largely been said, thank god we have James Tedford on board. He's proven to be highly competent and I have full faith that he, and the team around him, are the right people to navigate us through these choppy waters. More than happy to hear a possible streaming service will be made ava...
