Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

I'm not sure whether I speak for the majority, or just myself, but the reason I've been fairly critical so far is because I don't want the team to fail. We have such a strong nucleus, with some real individual talents, and I don't want that to go to waste in an as yet unproven tactic. I also feel th...

I think we have the quality, but tactically Liam needs to get his act together and start playing to our strengths, which I hate to say don't appear to be in the hard tackling defensive, nor the goalscoring side of the game.

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

I think second half we were really poor, the game should have been won in the first half hour, we had so many chances. Shields were lucky and preyed on our mistakes, but definitely deserved a goal for their performance from around 50 to 75 minutes, but the rest of the game I think we were on top. It...

Re: Kettering v Southport

For anyone after watching some VNN content this afternoon, the Chorley vs Gloucester stream is available for free on Chorley's YouTube channel. Should be worth a look, next weekend's opponents vs one of my favourites to be up near the top come the end of the season. They also have a GoFundMe page fo...

Re: Southport 0-1 Morpeth Match Thread

Working fine for me on Windows 10 through the TV, only had 1 10 second or so lapse during the whole game. As exile said, time a bit off, and scores not working but they realised that issue so shouldn't be a problem going forward. Picture quality is great, ambient noise a bit loud and camera movement...

I think we should still call him Trialist A as long as he stays here if I'm honest, it really suits him.

Re: Live Streams

One from the "Ideas Department" Transmit the game against Morpeth free. It being an FA Cup game on Saturday and such a short time to organise, not a lot of away supporters compared with say Hereford next Tuesday. Getting this up on your computer or whatever you use for the first time there are boun...

At least we can rest assured that none of those people have more than a single brain cell to s...

Re: Update from James Tedford 24/09/20

Selling is a rumor I heard, because I don't really think Ian expected to take the reigns so swiftly, and with everything between Huddersfield and Phil we hadn't the time to find an external investor. I know we certainly aren't the most financially secure club in the league and as YTT said, who from ...

Re: So. What happens next?

James has posted a new interview on YouTube, which sounds less than optimistic in my opinion. He believes the club could be over 60k in debt, which doesn't sound all too positive to me, fans will have to be at their best in terms of understanding I think, and hopefully we don't get too many fans re...

Re: Double Signing

I think young Watson's acquisition is most likely in the forthcoming days, in addition to potentially a versatile winger(?) and a young back up keeper.

Re: Transfer Rumours

I also think former 'Port and Chelsea youngster Kyle Jameson would be worth a look- 22 years old, a good ball player, strong in the air and has a big presence at 6'3"- something we are missing in the current squad. He's just been released by Fylde and we must be his strongest suitors since we're a f...

Also do we have anything on the whereabouts of Edvards Servuts? He looked pretty decent for 16 in one of the County Cup matches.

Re: Transfer Rumours

I think missing out on Montel Gibson may hurt us, he's shown he has goalscoring pedigree and it would seem like Southport would have been a logical destination as he'd play every week most likely, and we've shown before that we are excellent at developing up-and-coming former lower league players, i...
