Re: Curzon Away - 2nd Jan
“Given the protocols we have in place at The Pure Stadium we are confident that the two events are not linked”. That’s making an assumption that 22 people breathing on each other over 90 minutes isn’t going to spread a highly infectious virus. They really said that? I mean I'm no doctor but s...

Re: Match Thread - Spennymoor V Southport
Commentators are hilariously biased- this half time summariser is absolutely shite. Football isn't as bad as it has been but still far from where it should be- we look more dangerous and seem to be more direct than using exclusively simple long balls into nowhere- but we've still had our fair share ...

Re: FA Trophy draw
Two of our forwards went off injured today, and our on loan forward from Salford has returned to Salford. Suspect we may struggle up front! 😀 Yeah it sounds like that- also I heard David Raven got sent off as well so will he be ineligible?- maybe we might have half a chance if Marine only have half...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
It’s a little early for talk of sacking the management. You’ll be calling for CC to return next! Perhaps, but Liam's been given ample time and is showing no progress whatsoever- we've even perhaps regressed since this time last year, with a better squad to boot. He's lost more than he's won at the ...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
Gary Brabin should be approached now before it’s too late. He has fire in his belly and that’s what we need. Dean Winnard should be assistant and Liam to remain as director. I, like Yellow Taxi think that'd be a brilliant appointment. Experienced without being stale, very passionate and knows how t...

Re: Southport 0 - 1 Farsley
James for manager? I was just thinking the same thing- he can't possibly do any worse than Mr Watson that's for sure- aimless, devoid of all concentration and passion and you have a better chance of winning the lottery than someone scoring at home at the moment. I'm sorry, Liam, but it's time to ta...

Andrai Jones re-signs for Guiseley- not such a coup for them I wouldn't imagine based off his pre-season form with us.

Re: Jordan Archer
An excellent acquisition no doubt, Jordan was incredibly impressive during his last spell at the club Was he ?......A tall target man as far as I remember lets hope he sets the world on fie.... ;) Well, maybe "excellent" overdid it, but he looked a big improvement over Sampson (which to m...

Re: Jordan Archer
An excellent acquisition no doubt, Jordan was incredibly impressive during his last spell at the club and I felt we should've signed him after he was released from Port Vale, instead we've had to pay a fee though I can't think it was as significant as the one we got for Sammo. However as Seano said,...

Re: Transfer Rumours
Loan signings just show a total lack of ambition. They are a temporary stopgap to cover for somebody else (ie Marcus Wood in this case). We need a creative, attacking midfielder, not a holding midfielder. We have a very small squad and any injury will diminish it. Whilst I am happy enough with the ...

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread
I'm not sure whether I speak for the majority, or just myself, but the reason I've been fairly critical so far is because I don't want the team to fail. We have such a strong nucleus, with some real individual talents, and I don't want that to go to waste in an as yet unproven tactic. I also feel th...

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread
I think we have the quality, but tactically Liam needs to get his act together and start playing to our strengths, which I hate to say don't appear to be in the hard tackling defensive, nor the goalscoring side of the game.Sandgrounder SE wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 10:40 pm So once again a transitional season, nowhere near a challenging team?

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread
I think second half we were really poor, the game should have been won in the first half hour, we had so many chances. Shields were lucky and preyed on our mistakes, but definitely deserved a goal for their performance from around 50 to 75 minutes, but the rest of the game I think we were on top. It...

For anyone after watching some VNN content this afternoon, the Chorley vs Gloucester stream is available for free on Chorley's YouTube channel. Should be worth a look, next weekend's opponents vs one of my favourites to be up near the top come the end of the season. They also have a GoFundMe page fo...

Re: Southport 0-1 Morpeth Match Thread
Working fine for me on Windows 10 through the TV, only had 1 10 second or so lapse during the whole game. As exile said, time a bit off, and scores not working but they realised that issue so shouldn't be a problem going forward. Picture quality is great, ambient noise a bit loud and camera movement...

One from the "Ideas Department" Transmit the game against Morpeth free. It being an FA Cup game on Saturday and such a short time to organise, not a lot of away supporters compared with say Hereford next Tuesday. Getting this up on your computer or whatever you use for the first time ther...
