Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2

I can't imagine anywhere will get Tier 1 straight from lockdown. I also think if Merseyside is put back into tier 3 after the way the stats have gone down there would be full scale riots so surely tier 2 is the only way.

Re: Gateshead V Southport - Match Thread

Mo Ali was at fault for all 4 goals. Needs to be dropped after that showing for everyone’s good.

Re: Meeting 31/10/2020 - Responses to questions

Personally for me it's very hard to feel 'excited' about football in general. Yes, it's ongoing but even watching let's say a Premier League game its just a bit meh. For me watching Southport is the whole experience of going to the ground, talking to those sat around me. Right now, sitting on my la...

I know Marine were planning to stay overnight. I guess that may be an issue now
You're allowed to stay overnight for business reasons I think? I'm sure there will be a loophole somewhere.

Re: Mike Hunt

Maybe we maxed the budget out before getting to him. Who can be let go of in order to free some wages up then we can afford the big hitting Michael Hunt?

Depends which policy they draw out of the hat on the day it was announced

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

You will find very little criticism of players on here. I offer no apologies for my whinge about LWs interview and in the past my concerns and questions when PH took over (some of which were deleted). The whole point of Portchat is to provide a forum for observation, reflection, praise and criticis...

This Government Is Dishing out money they do not have to keep one man band rule breaking Wine Bars and Pubs going , so I ask where is the money to keep our football clubs going. :x It isn't just football, it is all sport. Re: 2020/21 Fixtures...

I’m afraid I still feel that this season is going to be a disaster for lower-level football. Restrictions on crowds will persist indefinitely and there will be random lockdowns which will disrupt competitions. Clubs need to minimise expenditure and do even more to increase non-traditional income so...

Re: Fanzone

You don’t need much room for a few beer pumps, a food stall and somewhere warm and comfortable to spend time pre-match or half time. A great initiative from the Trust that we’ll come to appreciate & value over the next few years. I didn't think that was what it was going to be used for as then ...
