Re: Brentford keeper.

Shows how quickly things could be turned more positive too. That was a great day out but things weren't all rosy then... Moaners still moaned, people were frustrated with the lack of communication from leadership and it was pre stand renovation and new floodlights (and of course the fan zone...). We...

Re: FT York City 3-1 Southport - Match thread

Let's not worry. Wherever we end up we have a fan zone that was wanted to discuss it all in...so don't moan.
Personally I think we're suffering from inexperience but will get better as the season continues and easier run of fixtures kick in.

Re: Southport P-P Chorley - The league one, not the FA Cup one - Match Thread

More sense from YTT, thank you. I have it on good authority from a Chorley fan that they were bringing around 900 to the game last Saturday on some organised day out to Southport. If so the very late postponement has cost us a lot of money, which we can ill afford to lose. There will be not nearly ...

Re: Southport P-P Chorley - The league one, not the FA Cup one - Match Thread

A Joke they have pulled a fast one on us. Let's hope not. You'd hope the league would seek evidence on this occasion and check whether its genuine or not. If they are found to be pulling a fast one they should be fined heavily and fined lots of points as it would be real low life territory to be us...

We'll just have to beat them well when they are fit or well enough to turn up....
Perhaps they were saving fuel too....

Re: Southport 1-0 Chorley - FA Cup - Match Thread

Great goal....can we have one of those every week please Marcus....not just any old tap in!! What was good to see tonight was that fighting spirit. Getting the ball in the box a fair amount and also being a little more professional to get decisions from officials. Good backing from the jack carr lad...

Re: General Manager at AFC Fylde

"This job can no longer be found" I wonder why? Made the bbc website......Nice bit of publicity for the club that wanted to play on during covid... As for valuing every fan I didn't feel valued as an away fan when I went there...hence I didn't go back this season. And probably saved mysel...

Re: AFC Fylde tickets

Some stupidly daft rumours spread on here as usual! It's £18 to sit or £12 to stand for adults. Under 16s £10 and £6, but no concession for over 65s. I will be going, hopefully, to cheer the lads on! Best hope for good BHMonday weather then. When we played them in FAT (?) a couple of seasons back, ...

Re: AFC Fylde tickets

They'll never get my money. I went when we played a couple of seasons ago. Charged a small fortune to sit in the corner when they could have let us have a better view from the next block. The way they acted about the curtailed season was an insult to anyone who's family suffered loss from covid, inc...

Re: Southport vs Everton u23

You won't have any problems. Half the stewards wear everton gear every game and its very family friendly..

You could of course save him a lifetime of disappointment and get him to support his local club southport instead..... far cheaper, volunteers who really care and less hassle....

Re: Southport 0-2 Blackpool - Match thread

Just asking for myself (and probably a few others) but how was the viewing experience at the game in light of the Covid-19 protocols. I am looking forward to being there for the opening League game but how safe did people feel at the match on Saturday? Feels saver than a trip to your average superm...

Re: Southport 0-2 Blackpool - Match thread

Good to be back, seeing a few people id not seen for a while.
Thought we played ok, although I agree it looked like we need a bit more upfront.
Pitch looked pristine....then the rain came. Worrying in that far corner again.
Blackpool fans singing 'southports a s**thole'....... how ironic.

Re: National League Statement today

And of course....the vote doesn’t necessarily make particular decisions made by the national league....I.e. fining clubs for not playing in a pandemic ethically right...even if he mentality adopted is ‘rules were broken’

I’m pleased our club stood on the right side of the fence throughout.

PNE (don’t see them here much) A National League Committee XI (I’d offer to referee) Brora Rangers (as part of a home/away arrangement as the away leg would be great) On a more serious note some bigger uk teams may opt to stay in uk for tours so the likes of Sunderland, Forest, Portsmouth, Sheffield...

Re: Update from Ian Kyle

I don't see any change in management happening from the top of the National league-as I've already said. We've already been crapped on from a great height by them after "looking after" our players and staff during the pandemic so what does that say? The proposed ESL was only stopped when ...

Re: Portchat or Port Chat?

Grandstand, Main Stand or just the Stand? When I stated going it only ever seemed the be referred to as "the Stand". The Grandstand reference seemed to come later when the bar was named the Grandstand Club. Main Stand is on the sponsorship sign but as it's the only seated stand does it re...
