Farsley - Wed

Assuming we get the go ahead from the league to move the match to Wed, do we think we will get a big crowd? I know there is a lot of excitement about restarting in front of crowds and people are desperate to get out of the house, but; It's midweek, it's cold and attendances are generally at their lo...

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2

There are two issues that the club needs to bear in mind:
We will have quite a few spectators living in tier 3 locations who cannot attend, so streaming should continue (the club is on the border of tier 3 regions)
Can volunteers in tier 3 help out or not?

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2

The Sports Ground Safety Authority have added an extra caveat to the number of fans who can attend games.

The number of fans allowed can't exceed 'the socially distanced capacity of the ground'.

The guide to calculating that capacity can be read here:

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2

I still think it's unfair that we can have 2,000 fans in but Chorley down the road can't have any. But hey, life's unfair, I shan't be moaning if the league agrees to this. Not technically correct - it is min 2k, or 50% capacity or ground safety authority level for social distancing. I think we are...

I'm sure they advertised them as being available from the club shop. However, no league game at home until boxing day, so no rush.

Just out of interest, I see Guiseley, who is our next away game, are claiming it costs £800 per match in overheads to stream and they are showing for free on YouTube..

Gloucester City

Gloucester City, who have bank rolled themselves to the top of the league and are full time( train 3 mornings a week) have allowed their manager to join Chesterfield.

I wonder if any of their star players will follow, given they cited he was the reason they joined in the first place.

Liverpool's latest rate is 173 per 100k Sefton is 200 per 100k, (2-3 days behind in data) Looking at the National rankings, virtually all the region's within Liverpool District are ranked around 150 out of 315 locations. No chance of being tier 3 Lots of good data on twitter on this account @Ukcovid...

Re: Fans at Sporting events. Up to 2000 in Tier 2

Firstly bar a home draw in the trophy, we don't have a home game until boxing day after lockdown. 50% capacity seems unrealistic at our level. I'm sure there will be a caveat. 1500 capacity at Farsley or Guiseley would not allow social distancing. Also it's not clear which tier Southport/Sefton/Live...

Re: Gateshead V Southport - Match Thread

Watson needs to get a settled side and sort out the issues in midfield. Watson doesn't know his best formation or best team. Ali was brought in as a left sided defender, but playing on the right. Anson plays on the right or in the middle. Hates playing on the left. Morgan needs a partner in midfield...

Even game - they scored a decent goal.
Neither side creating too much.
Anson and Morgan playing well. Just need a bit more quality in the final third.
