Re: Halifax FA Trophy

As with any club right now SFC need all the money they can get, however with Watson and McCarthy in charge the club will lose a lot of money due to lack of interest.

And yet when I criticise the management team of Watson and McCarthy I get absolutely slaughtered on here for it.

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

Maybe he bothers because he's from Southport and likes football. If he likes football he certainly doesn't appear to enjoy supporting Southport at all. He says it's been crap all his life. So that's 3 titles and a Wembley appearance all dismissed as part of over 30 years of disappointment. Maybe we...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

As a fan surely we are entitled to opinion. And since the forum has re launched I have just had gripe with the manager being past his sell by date which seems to be shared by quite a number of people on this forum. As for the rest of the board I have nothing but respect for the work Ian, James, Chri...

Re: The Table

Blyth Alfreton and the Port have the worst run of form at present.... with the constant conceding from free kicks/set pieces it just seems to me that management has learn’t nothing & seems powerless to be coach/ motivate / stop these basic mistakes... An earlier poster said that the SFC gates d...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

Perhaps it’s been missed in the substantial communication from the club but what exactly is the aspiration for this season? Has it ever been communicated? Is lower mid-table the target? Should IK be stating his ambitions for the club? There have been “five year plans” and “definitely going to win t...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

Some ridiculous posts on here from the usual suspects (especially those who didn’t even watch the game  ). I’m sure they were delighted when we conceded the late equaliser. The performance was a significant improvement on previous matches and we looked much more dangerous going forward, altho...

Didn't see the game ,bit fed up with.it Fed up watching endless crap long balls into the corner Fed up watching a team that has no idea how to take a set piece, or defend one,the coach should be shot Fed up.watching the only danger from a silly long throw Fed up of being crap The team, and the place...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

My criticism has come off the back of seeing the result as I didn’t follow today’s game, however some of the posts on here tonight have left me so confused. Some posters have said we played nice attacking passing style football and some have said it was woeful hoofball. Jeez who knows what to believ...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

First half OK, but against a poor team. There was some good play and some good performances, especially Woods. You just knew that their second was about to be scored. Why didn’t our defence? Unfortunately this is relegation form. I don’t know how some posters can claim otherwise. What can be done? ...

Re: Match Thread - Southport V Curzon Ashton

Seen this for so many years with port. I was fully expecting the equaliser I would have been in shock had we won that game. Port always do this. Another joke of a season.

Forget performances it’s a results business.

Re: Match Thread - Spennymoor V Southport

Mr C's figures are exactly correct. They are cumulative. We have already earned £8,250. If we can win another round the total win will be £13,500. If we’ve already earned £8,250, it’s misleading to say the incentive to win the match is £13,500. Cavjj your completely wrong. Brianm was right he said ...

Re: A view from the jack carr

The worry is a few years ago,I was told there was no way the club could compete with the top 6 clubs in the conference, because we didn't have the financial clout, fan base ect. Where now in the league below, and being told the same thing!! There's something very wrong somewhere The game and clubs ...

Re: FT: Guiseley 4 - 2 Southport

If you listen to the interview, Liam, although more upbeat than usual, is basically blaming the players, not himself or the coach. Firstly, they are his players. Secondly, it is unfair to blame young players at this level if they are unable to play to a system that does not work for them. The manag...

Like I keep saying everyone on here is asking for change. Only Liam can make that decision no one else will do that.

We’re all really hurting tonight and if Liam read portchat he would do what is right for the club to move forward
