Re: Squad assessment

Think two of the three sold on were not LW signings. We will never know but another manager may have obtained better transfef fees. To even suggest that is to suggest that LW has somehow short changed the club in his transfer dealings. That could not be further from the truth. He has achieved fees ...

Re: Squad assessment

Four players sold in quick time...How many Managers at National North level have this kind if record? Devarn Green to Scunthorpe Utd (Liam signing) Jack Sampson to AFC Fylde (Alan Lewer ?) Dion Charles and David Morgan (Kevin Davies?) I can't believe anybody on here would think that we would get a d...

Re: Squad assessment

I hesitate to say this for fear of a backlash but if it hadn't been for Liam's careful management of the budget over the past two years and his incredible record for getting players into the league I am under very little doubt that we would not have a football club to support at all. I am quite hap...

Re: AFC Fylde - The gift that keeps on giving.

I read the statement from Chief Executive Jonty Castle, and frankly found the interview nauseating. Many of the reasons given for playing on can be levelled at every club in National North.Players careers being short-and being curtailed for two seasons running.Difficult conversations to be had with s...

Re: George Newell

Thanks-I wonder if there's been any response? I'm sure the Everton and Blackburn "connection" through his Dad's former career would stir something... It was retweeted by the official Bolton and Accrington twitter accounts so may have generated a few donations as a result. Great to know-th...

Re: George Newell

This thread needs to be kept going and kept in supporters minds...

I wondered if any other of his previous clubs are aware of his injury (as well as his Dad's old club) ?
If they where-I'm sure there would be a positive response to the appeal..

Does anybody know?

Re: Season declared null and void

Part of the letter sent by National North/South clubs to it's board wishing to carry on playing in a "mini league" to retain promotion and relegation, talks of playing on being in the best interests of the mental well being for it's supporters and communities. What a load of tripe... That ...

Re: Video interview with Ian and Liam

Not a lot said that we did not know and I can see that they have had a hard time keeping the club going. So It is no good looking back and we have about six months to when we start up again. I like many have had my Jab and let us hope it means that the public can once again attend the matches. In t...

Re: James Tedford gone

Ian has a mountain of work on, even without this latest news so let's hope fans continue to support the club in every way possible... Regarding the board situation, I'm sure Ian will have his own ideas about this and we as fans should respect this. He surely though must be more open minded than our ...

Re: Season declared null and void

You're probably right about clubs who wished to carry on being allowed too (although I've no idea how it would work) with investment into the season etc( hasn't every club invested for the season though?) but again that's no body else's fault other than their National League board.. It's not Southpo...

Re: Season declared null and void

Thank goodness for this decision but one that has been far too long coming from a National league board that is totally out of touch and bordering incompetent. The stress levels for Ian Kyle and Liam Watson must have been through the roof this last few weeks and first and foremost- we all as support...

Re: What can supporters do to help?

It's all a bit picky for me as a supporter when a "player celebration" (what seems like years ago) is being dug up and SFC being questioned... The club needs financial backing now like it's possibly not needed since the 80's. The club has thanked it's supporters for the membership scheme f...

Re: Wrexham's New Owners

Could have been us if we listened to Danehill Dancer instead of Ormskirk Yellow. I do sometimes wonder what happened to them both. 😁 It seems an age ago now-although will never leave my mind... On Wrexham, I think Dean Keates had better start looking for another employer now....It could go either w...

Good statement from SFC now on the official site...

I think Curzon Ashton tomorrow will be the first match that we are refusing to play in-so I suppose we can expect to be charged later this week..

Re: National League up the anti

It’s time for the FA to step in. It looks as if the FA only come into the equation on appeal of any penalty dished out to clubs by the National League board-which is totally unsatisfactory. Each club's case to be looked at individually. They've gone for the "divide and conquer" routine in ...

Re: All matches off

I hope SFC are crossing the "I"s and dotting the "T"s amongst this chaos..Plenty of ice about still in my back garden this afternoon..If that's the game that the National League are playing and are sceptical at some of our recent postponement, it's important that enough evidence ...
