Re: Bradford player positive

Can see there being a backlog of games that will need to be rescheduled to midweek. To add to the already busy schedule, not good.

I think one or two have, but they won't get airtime saying it.
Oh well, 145k people have signed the petition so it will have to be debated in parliament. Hopefully with a better outcome for us, the fans. Carlton Cole has it spot on here:

Re: Go to the cinema!

The annoying thing about it all, I would have thought at least one MP was aware of the non-league football issue and would have spoken up in parliament already. It shouldn't have took a petition. Ridiculous when you think about it. I guess if its not the premier league MPs are just not bothered. Joke.

Re: Southport V Hereford - Match Thread

The stream did seem to work a lot better in the second half on Youtube. But obviously, it was free so it defeated the object of the whole thing which was to make money by giving fans a way of watching the match. Only issue with going through in the future on Youtube is that if you are going to have ...

Re: Southport V Hereford - Match Thread

I mean I’m not too bothered as I’m a season ticket holder but imagine if you’d forked out £10 for this as a one off. You’d be well annoyed.

Re: Southport V Hereford - Match Thread

Anyone else’s dropping out? Was great on sat but I’ve seen about 3 mins so far Yeah constantly buffering for me and lots of people on twitter having issues too. Not only that I can only hear one of the commentators and the test on the scoreboard is so small (team name) you cannot possibly read it. ...

Go to the cinema!

Feel like this is all we talk about recently but here we are again. Today Boris Johnson has started “encouraging” people to go to Cineworld (and indoor and enclosed space) in order to save their business. The absolute audacity of encouraging that but yet preventing non league football to have attend...

Re: FA CUP DRAW

South Shields at Haig ave. Didn't we play them at home in the Trophy last year? Gillys team, interesting. Shame once again about fans not being able to attend. Would have probs prefer an away fixture then we could have at least gone to the 1881 lounge to all watch it (with social distancing measure...

Re: So. What happens next?

Just read this off twitter from BBC presenter and commentator Ollie Bayliss: "I understand the Government’s National League funding is likely to be around £3 million a month." "Funding will be available over the next 6 months should clubs not be allowed fans." "The details o...

Re: So. What happens next?

The most important part was the very beginning, where James stated his belief that a support package was on its way, either through a payment or a government committment to underwriting any losses incurred. Not getting ahead of ourselves until the money is in the bank but it would solve two problem...

Re: So. What happens next?

Just read on twitter that Wealdstone's home game against Chesterfield on Saturday. Wealdstone fans can gather in the clubhouse at the stadium to watch the game on TV where there is more chance of transmission, while the game is being played on the pitch outside. The windows must be blacked out and c...

Re: Live Streams

Could this be a blessing in disguise? I'm thinking here of our many exiled fans living round the country and round the world, who rarely have an opportunity to watch SFC's home games. If this goes ahead, it would enable them to watch live, all SFC's home games for the season, and consequently could...

Re: Fa cup

As I’ve said all along, we should not start this season. There is zero prospect of crowds being allowed for many weeks. We will be shelling out £000s each week to put games on, paying referees and players, travel costs etc. With the best will in the world streaming is no solution. Pull the plug now...

Re: So. What happens next?

I can't go to Haig Avenue, but I can go to the pub and stream it on my phone around others. Go.Figure. My thoughts exactly. Anyway. Hoping for a miracle that we get declassed as being an "Elite" level league and the season is able to start with fans in some way. As another user mentioned ...

Re: So. What happens next?

Totally agree with this. Seems a farce. There's an easy solution to this (allow fans in, socially distanced) and the government has made it so difficult for themselves. 20,000 inside a stadium in Budapest the other day for the Super Cup final...barely a cough in the crowd! Just seems a bit mad. Lik...

Re: So. What happens next?

I agree with everything that has been said before. It will be an utter shame that the season gets called off and we are not able to start at all. It will feel like a kick in the teeth with a cracking preseason behind us. I have been lucky enough to go to a few games of this year's pre-season and the...
