Re: Good news?

I think my take on all of this is significantly less valuable than many posters on here who have seen the glory days as I, given that I've only been watching for 9 years and alive for 16, have not. In terms of "off the field" activity we are the best we've ever been I think for far longer...

Re: Good news?

Dear Ralphy,we both support southport, so were on the same page, and there's good reason, look at the facilities, the stand, floodlights, pitch, all great, where we differ is on the pitch. You seem to accept that being a mid table team in this league is acceptable, I do not. If we are not competing ...

Re: Good news?

Wow, true fans stick with their team through thick and thin. We are up against teams who have far larger budgets than us and I personally believe that in time LW will assemble a squad of players that will take us up a level. What we need is a way of getting more people through the turnstiles to gene...

Re: Good news?

Yep,nuff said No, not enough said. When crowds do return to football, non league clubs more than any others will need fans to return in as large as possible numbers. Bums on seats or feet on the terraces may well make the difference between survival or death of clubs. I am ready to accept that ther...

JG. Ref internet. I not on facebook, twitter and never consult the internet for news or information. My only uses are email, port chat, Southport fc etc. Anything I put forward are my thoughts or feelings. As I mentioned in my previous posts, i hate wearing a mask, it also steams up my glasses, it m...

Re: Good news?

Back to football, I hope some thought is being given to the dates of the 2021/22 season. Playing games in the summer and a winter break during flu season would be an idea. Give some thought to the fixtures too with an eye on the season being cut short again. But the leagues board have shown no sign...

Re: Good news?

Forcing people to take vaccines? Hmm. Discuss. I remember the teacher at KGV saying 'everyone go down to the gym', 'now roll your sleeves up'. Those were the days! That was the way to stop an epidemic! Nowadays you'd have to send out information sheets a week before and get signed consent forms. In...

Re: Good news?

If the termanly terrified wish to always wear a mask, then that's ok,wot harm can it do?me,can't wait to throw the damn thing in the bin When hopitals are less busy I would strongly advise going in for a brain implant, unfortunately social consciences have to be generated from within, a brain may h...

Re: Good news?

Offered a vaccine being the operative word. Accepting it is a different matter. There is a choice, restrictions on what you can do if you dont, more freedom if you do. Obviously there would have to be exemptions for genuine reasons, such as where it would be medically unsafe. There are already restr...

Re: Good news?

Forcing people to take vaccines? Hmm. No, not forcing them, they will have the option to stay at home and self iaolate, (like millions of clinically vulnerable people have been doing), there is a big difference. Also taking a mask before games could replace taking a knee, as a show of thanks to all...

Re: Good news?

Vaccination passports to football grounds seems to be the way forward and the way things are progressing it should be possible by the start of the new season. Personally I will continue to wear a mask and i would hope that all supporters will do the same. I don't want to risk getting or transmittin...

And you know what’s worse on your mental health than your club not ending the season?
Contracting an infection that proves to be fatal.
Though I suppose if their mental health is OK then at least they'd die happy.
For a very pleasant change, I agree with you totally. Well said

To all at AFC Fylde. Sour grapes can be sweetened with the addition of a little honey, also if a little yeast is added a drink that will blur the memory can be created.

Re: Squad assessment

I hesitate to say this for fear of a backlash but if it hadn't been for Liam's careful management of the budget over the past two years and his incredible record for getting players into the league I am under very little doubt that we would not have a football club to support at all. I am quite hap...

Re: Squad assessment

Somehow we need to either bring in the cash, or generate it, so that we can retain the good players have / get for a while longer before selling them on. This requires outside investment in the club or a significant increase in crowds. Supping an extra beer in the bar pre match isn't going to achiev...

Re: Season declared null and void

What I want to know is, where do the leagues management get their mind bending drugs from and are they allowed to claim for them on expenses. If so I will apply for a job there. I have never heard such a load of total organic manure in my life. One is left to wonder if they are being bribed or black...
