Re: Good news?

Dear Ralphy,we both support southport, so were on the same page, and there's good reason, look at the facilities, the stand, floodlights, pitch, all great, where we differ is on the pitch. You seem to accept that being a mid table team in this league is acceptable, I do not. If we are not competing ...

Re: Good news?

Spennymoor Alfreton Farsley? Depends how you define a village I suppose, but they’re not very big places. Well they are all towns and it's not as if teams are limited to only recruiting players from the town that the club is based in anyway. The size of the town's population has little bearing on t...

Re: Good news?

Ralphy can get his rules and regulations out and pretend last season never happened, but it did. I remember three home games against village sides where we failed to win a match. I remember being a few points off relegation. I remember one home win all season. I'm not pretending they didn't happen ...

Re: Good news?

I think unpredictability of British weather makes a winter break pointless as you could never schedule it at a time when a substantial number of matches would be likely to be called off. It's not as if the country is plunged into a guaranteed arctic winter every year. Just reduce every division to 2...

Forcing people to take vaccines? Hmm. Discuss. I remember the teacher at KGV saying 'everyone go down to the gym', 'now roll your sleeves up'. Those were the days! That was the way to stop an epidemic! Nowadays you'd have to send out information sheets a week before and get signed consent forms. In...

Really? 16 points after 14 games.

1980/81 14 points after 14 games

I'm not going to waste my time checking all other seasons in the 6th tier. I've already proved you wrong.

And you know what’s worse on your mental health than your club not ending the season?
Contracting an infection that proves to be fatal.
Though I suppose if their mental health is OK then at least they'd die happy.

This thread needs to be kept going and kept in supporters minds... I wondered if any other of his previous clubs are aware of his injury (as well as his Dad's old club) ? If they where-I'm sure there would be a positive response to the appeal.. Does anybody know? His previous clubs were tagged in t...

Nah, not entirely embarrassing (to get beat), they are an elite group of players and all things being even (and over physicality in check by the ref) any one of the Woman's super league teams would give us a good match. In the women's game you don't get much more elite than the USA national team an...

Re: Video interview with Ian and Liam

Interesting that Liam mentions that there are people who've expressed an interest in joining the board. I must have a listen again with headphones. I missed that. I couldn't hear half of it. Rob's voice was boomy and twice the volume of the others. It would have helped if there were subtitles, (or ...

Well exactly. I know it wouldn't set pulses racing but "worst finish since last season" isn't quite as hysterical as a bed wetting "worst finish since 1980-81".

Port on the Kent wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 8:47 pm 17th place in the sixth tier at the time of null and void is our worst finish since 1980/81.
It's not a finish as it's null and void and with only a third of our games played that's a bit of a harsh judgement.

Re: Season declared null and void

Correct decision and good to see common sense prevails. Does this also mean that the letters sent out by the League to us and other teams, about breaking the rules for refusing to play matches will now be null and void or will we still have to fight our cases so that we dont incur a points deductio...
