Re: RIP Tony Waiters

Yes, that’s correct. He worked with a former Port player Verdi Godwin (who discovered Tony, amongst others). When Tony became manager at Plymouth I Verdi did some scouting for him and I think he played a part in Plymouth snatching up Chorley forward Paul Mariner just as Southport were trying to sign...

RIP Tony Waiters

Former Blackpool and England goalkeeper, Tony Waiters, has passed away today. Not an ex Port player I know but he was Southport born and a former KGV pupil. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Tony.

Sad news and my condolences to his family and friends. His Cottage Pies alone made Aggborough a ground worth visiting.

National League Funding

BBC Tyne & Wear page states that funding split agreed on an average crowd basis. We are due to get £30k a month while a handful of clubs in the North and South, eg Chester, Hereford and Torquay, to get £36k a month.

Re: Dave Roberts - RIP

A real dedicated Southport supporter. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and my sympathies to you and the rest of his family and fr...

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

Sorry, I should have made clear I am not criticising the club, sounds like they have done a brilliant job in the circumstances, rather I am hoping there is something that can be done to help others like me that we’re having difficulty.
