Re: Bradford (Park Avenue) 0-2 Southport - Match Thread

Don't think anyone is getting carried away the start to the season has been pretty much predictable in terms of results. Think we can aspire for the play offs and that's only right that we should but realistically i think we will finish upper mid-table. But it's going to be a crazy season and who kn...

Couldn’t follow that game on Facebook properly but good away win that and pleased to see Niall and Connor start.

Re: Southport 0-2 Spennymoor - Match Thread

This should be a huge turning point for us today. The Christmas pudding formation now has to be consigned to the tactical scrapheap. Despite having better players than last season we have gone backwards because of it. I won't criticise Liam for trying something different; when Chorley gained promot...

If only we could take a positive approach at Home. Better start to the second half after the changes.

Re: Southport 2-3 York City - Match Thread

On the streaming issue front i think our coverage when accessible is as good if not better than most in terms of picture quality and the commentary is good and felt sorry for Alan last night constantly apologising for the technical issues. I kept an eye on the viewing figures last night and i think ...

Re: Southport 2-3 York City - Match Thread

I actually enjoyed the 50 minutes I got to see and some perspective required. That York side should be a nailed on top 2 side. We have limited resources. We know we are lacking in the middle of the park and suspect at some point Liam may well resort to 4-4-2. I felt for Bainbridge tonight as we aske...

Re: FT: Telford 1 - 1 Southport - Match Thread

Agree those two sides are in the mini mid table, outside shout of play offs, teams.

Don’t think today told is anything we didn’t know about where we are at. Not sure how Liam can shake it up given what we’ve got is thin on the ground.

Would have Taken a point before kick off.

Re: Meeting 31/10/2020 - Responses to questions

I'm surprised at the low numbers of paid streaming. Is the demand not there? Especially for the away supporters The PPV model just doesn't stack up commercially for reasons that have been debated on here previously. Not even at Premier League level if you charge £14.99 and pee everyone off. Some of...

Re: Meeting 31/10/2020 - Responses to questions

Well, I appreciate the efforts of all concerned in submitting and answering the questions, but with regard to question 1, IK has completely missed or avoided the point. As for the AGM, it’s not supposed to be directly for the benefit of the company but for the benefit of the shareholders and to con...

Re: Southport 0-1 Boston - Match Thread

As the man says, “As i said, it is what it is,” I think we know what we are going to get from a Liam Watson team. Unfortunately so do the opposition. The manager shouldn’t be satisfied or happy with that performance or we’ve made little to no progress over the last 2 seasons. It’s early days in the ...

Re: Rumours on jack

Reading Fylde statement looks like been in the offing for sometime. Lad thinks he’s bettering himself then good luck to him.

Does he start in front of Hulme or Willoughby....I think not and I agree I think it will be good for us as forces a much needed change in my book upfront.

Anyhow, if the money was right for the club good luck to him and works for all parties.

I did wonder about the TIY position so thanks for answering that. When you say we as a forum will meet with the club who is the we for those of us less well informed members? Initially it will be myself (Nic) meeting James and Ian and all I will be doing in the meeting is submitting the members que...

I agree and right now and for that matter throughout SFC history if the right offer comes along hard to say no.

Rumour and conjecture and sounds like over before it started in story terms.

Re: National League Funding

Attendances are relevant to budget as most clubs biggest income streams and the ones you'd expect that draw the bigger crowds are the one raising it as an issue and same at National League level. As to whether is was prudent to budget on that basis this season is a different point but i have to say ...
