Re: Rumours on jack

Presumably Jack bainbridge must be fit as I think he’s a Key utility player for us as he brings skill and pace to the team
Anyway Jack S is on the bench tonight as is Lussey !

Re: Rumours on jack

Thanks and good luck Jack, you’ve always done your best on and off the field for the club. Liam won’t let us go too short on numbers and we haven’t used the loan market thus far so that may be an option.

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread

I think the “policy” has been flexed to take account of COVID and no spectators so wearing the away kit on TV maybe helps sell a few extra of the away shirts, which to me is understandable. Personally, It makes a refreshing change to see them in a different kit as long as it’s not red and most impor...

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread

People have bought the (IMO very smart) away kit so it’s nice for them to see the club wearing it , otherwise we’d only see it twice away at Boston and leamington . Anyway it’s a 100% success so far 😉😂

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread

Great result. The next four games will show whether we have the makings of a challenging team. I missed the stream yesterday. After a long week of staring at a screen, I didn’t fancy a Saturday afternoon doing the same, so attended Great Wakering v Histon in the Isthmian North. I had really missed ...

Re: Blyth Spartans 0-3 Southport - Match Thread

Good win against a very ordinary Blyth team. Solid defence with Hanford not having a save to make. They had one chance, which if they had scored might have changed the game but I think that we would have gone on to win the game anyway. Well done to all. Onwards and upwards! Agreed and with regard t...

Re: National League Funding

York as we have said got a £2 + m sell on clause for Ben Godfrey which I suspect they knew was happening before they scabbed their vote to try and shaft the rest of the league. It would have been justice if they had received sweet fanny adams.

Re: Southport 1-0 Chorley - Match Thread

A win is a win so well done, similar to SS game where again we ran out of steam around 65 mins , fortunately changes made on time and we continued to defended stoutly, got lucky due to poor finishing and just got over the line. No goals yet in 4 in the Jack Carr stand end . The result sets us up nic...

Re: Southport 1-1 South Shields - Match Thread

Won 1 drawn 2 - you can’t really count a loss on penalties as a defeat! How would you list last nights match then - it’s wasn’t a draw......because we are not in the hat for the next round. I would say that after 90 minutes (i.e. the length of a normal football match ) it was a draw. Is that diffic...

Re: TODAYS LOG IN

Excellent coverage both on screen and sound. Commentaries first class. Thanks to all involved, including the programme. I liked the new tactics when we played the poorer teams in the friendlies, but it seems that when we play the stronger teams we will always be a man short in midfield. Until Marcu...

It would be fair, reasonable and a magnanimous gesture if the FA cup Total Proceeds were divided 50:50 in games where COVID means forfeiture. In theory we could win it if every team we’re meant to play goes down with COVID beforehand

If they’re still in the cup and the can’t play this week then they’ll all get binned off by the FA and forfeit their games . South Shields at Bamber Bridge today thus far and we get a rest day so can focus on Tuesday, assuming we don’t get players who test positive In between times ; it’s certainly ...

Re: Kettering v Southport

I don't understand why you would leave your two top scorers on the bench and then bring them on to win the game or save the game? Get in front and then you can use your subs to make sure that you win surely! I get what you’re saying, And you’re right to some extent but they’re both very lightweight...
