Re: Kettering v Southport

I suspect he’ll start with a back five including Anson and jack Doyle, bainbridge, Benjamin and Morgan and Jack and Marcus up front. I think it’ll be an industrial game so he will use George and Niall to either chase the game ( hopefully not) or try and win it. If we get a point and beat South Shiel...

Re: Bradford player positive

How come Liverpool played then ? They had players who were positive; not sure what’s the difference between them and Bradford, unless they test everybody else and Bradford can’t afford to do that .

Re: Southport v Hereford

Likely postponement, looking at the pitch on the Highlights on Saturday the powers that be haven't addressed the problem of the Scarisbrick New Road end Penalty area, & its a long way for Hereford to travel.... The pitch never used to have this problem? The Scarisbrick end was always ok! It sta...

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

I don’t know how I did it but using a 3 year old large screen HP laptop and going by SFCs website instructions I got connected and got great picture reception apart from a few worrying buffering circles The sound was very scratchy but commentators very good. Thought the camera position was far bett...

Re: Fundraiser

Yes great effort , Harry’s great grandad played for the club and his Grandad is a very willing and hard working volunteer at the Club every week and is a Port fan through and through, so Harry’s keeping up the family tradition in a “great” fashion 👍👏👏👏👏

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

Good summing up by Liam. I’m still counting our blessings today as we were very lucky to get through. I think we’ll see Jack Doyle and Russell come into Tuesday’s starting line up and he may start George ahead of Niall . Hereford were a complete bunch of moaners and referee bullies last season so le...

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

How did the pitch stand up? I was surprised that Tony Mac started. Can we expect Hanford on Tuesday? The Jack Carr/Poplar corner was starting to splash a lot but otherwise it looked ok to me on the feed. Pitch puddling no surprise, likewise across the country eg Leeds but didn’t cut up although the...

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

Scraped through and that’s all that counts in atrocious conditions which made the game a lottery. Credit to Morpeth who gave it their all and left nothing out there and credit to the Port for fighting back . I think we would have lost that game in the last several seasons, so positive outcome leaves...

Re: Trialist signed

He’s got excellent pace at this level and can find the net, I am hopeful he will be very good for us and I suspect like possibly Connor Woods and Adam Anson, they’ll all eventually get snapped up by Teams in the higher leagues. In the meantime we need them all playing well tomorrow to put the Highwa...

The fee maybe for one or more persons of course, so for me it represents good value . If you pitch it too low then people will moan about the increase when it happens - it’s impossible to please all the people. Just give the club credit for getting it sorted, warts and all maybe , without whoppedoi...

What is the team likely to be? Not seen any pre season so I am assuming... Hanford Challoner Anson Ali Oliver Doyle Morgan Watson Newell Sampson Carver Comment below.... :?: I’m going for slightly less guns ho with more legs in the midfield so Bainbridge in and Jack on the bench are my only changes...

Ben Godfrey sold to Everton for £20m + from Norwich nets York City a 10% sell on clause , no wonder they double dealt and welched on the rest of the Conference 😡, they must have got wind of a likely pending sale - Lucky so and so’s

65 teams so if it’s £3m per month for 6 months that’s £46 k per team per month, but I think it will have to be be based on a certified budget , so you may find that although it’s commensurate, it’s adequate given it’s guaranteed and will be in addition to any other revenues we can generate from rent...

Re: Live Streams

The club have stepped up and met every challenge so far since the crisis, so I’m optimistic, they’ll put something in place in time for Saturday and hopefully thereafter now we’ve got a commitment to funding . I suspect they’re doing their level best to showcase games to reward our loyal supporters ...
