South Shields were very impressive against us in the previous round and now they have accounted for Halifax from the National League. Good luck to them.

South Shields are a good side and will probably get promoted.
In the South Cray Valley beating Maidenhead was a big surprise, Oxford City won at Weymouth, Hayes won well as did Banbury.

Yes indeed! I’ve just been through their 9 pages of unadulterated moaning, football is all about 90% depression we all just live for the 10% highs as and when 🙈😂

Chester were poor.

No passion or fight.

Only one shot on target the whole game, and that was from the edge of the box. It was only in added time that they threatened when they pumped balls into the box.

Got to feel for both Marine and Skem. First round proper and the possibility of drawing one of the “bigger” clubs in league one and two and yet the very distinct possibility that they make relatively little money and their fans are denied the opportunity to attend. Sad times...

Chorley at Wigan also, would have been a big earner for them.

Skem are one of the TV games, Marine have single camera coverage and both are getting decent TV money.

The non league clubs below tier 2 are allowed to play.
I know Marine were planning to stay overnight. I guess that may be an issue now

You're allowed to stay overnight for business reasons I think? I'm sure there will be a loophole somewhere.

Yes, it's not a loophole, it's a recognised exception. The sole reason hotels can stay open for.
Marine to Colchester takes around 5 hours non stop, longer in a coach and with comfort break (s). It would be unreasonable to expect them to travel on the day for a 3pm kick off.

Brilliant well done Marine , penalty taking of the highest order . Good luck for the next round and a mention for a battling Skem side who gave their All - that’s all we ever ask for !! 👏👏👏
