From the Daggers chairman ten months ago which nevertheless outlines the problems faced by many clubs over this last year.

Seems that Chester are also voting for season end.

Fair play to Chester. Allowing for their position in the league, such a statement demands respect from us all.

Gloucester should hang their head in shame when they hear of the moral stance teams like Chester have taken, when they are in a position where promotion is a realistic possibility. Turncoats of the worst order just because they are doing well in the league.

Conversely there will be a few doing not so well that will be happy to call it a season.....the fixtures are so far behind schedule now anyway the logistics of carrying on are well nigh impossible I would think.

It looks as if the FA only come into the equation on appeal of any penalty dished out to clubs by the National League board-which is totally unsatisfactory. Each club's case to be looked at individually.
They've gone for the "divide and conquer" routine in National North, and for them it looks to be working a treat.

If they should want to, the FA could intervene now. It’s bringing the game into disrepute.

They don’t have to wait for the formalities.

The guy who now runs the national league worked in the judicial team at the FA for much of his career previously. They must know each other pretty well already..

Darlington, another club worthy of praise for putting the salient points so well.
All clubs should reply to the voting ASAP and when all replies have been made, the National League should announce the results, without hanging it out for as long as possible. Failing that, all clubs should release a statement such as Darlo's (and others) have done, so the league and sponsors know exactly what the clubs think. Who knows, the sponsors may agree and be happy to accept the positive publicity their actions would bring.

Good statement from SFC now on the official site...

I think Curzon Ashton tomorrow will be the first match that we are refusing to play in-so I suppose we can expect to be charged later this week..

Indeed. Right on public health and right on not conspiring to drive others to insolvency.
