Good positive boost for George.

Dont be surprised when you see him in an Accy shirt within the next 12 months
Re: FT: Southport 4 - 3 Accrington Stanley
Apparently Accrington didn't want the game advertising before it was played, why would that be?

Great to see the last two games going so well.
In the Ian Kyle interview Rob and Ian rue the lost income from these games noting that Blackpool may have bought 2,000. Accrington would also have brought a good following and Huddersfield would have also brought a large following. Shame we are missing out on vital income, but at last good to see football moving that ever nearer for our level.

Any lost income is a blow but I can't recall Blackpool ever bringing that many to a friendly here before. And as for Accrington, really?CFORD-SIX wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 5:20 pm Great to see the last two games going so well.

Apart from that another excellent interview with Ian and also the one with James Tedford. Impressively competent people at the club these days. I dread to think how the club would have coped with covid19 under Charlie's management.

The crowd estimates are fanciful but you start high when making a business interruption claim.Ralphy Rylance wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 5:45 pmAny lost income is a blow but I can't recall Blackpool ever bringing that many to a friendly here before. You do wonder what kind of mess we’d be in if spending was still at PH levels although it can’t be good now if there isn’t £5k for the floodlight thingy.

I don’t think the club is any mess at all, thanks to furloughing, sensible management, Going part time, generous donations and diligent marketing of Advertising boards, memberships sales of merchandise and season tickets - an item like this is desirable but not within the Normal financial budget of a non league club working through a lengthy period of having very little revenue- hence the appeal for donations. It’s probably the equivalent a weeks wages to buy so it seems very reasonable to ask supporters for help, given these extraordinary times , but it’s making 2+2 =5 and scare mongering to conclude the clubs in a mess Just because they’re asking for support. Don’t give anything - that’s Perfectly fine but don’t speculate idly.

Its hardly scaremongering when the club have openly admitted that finances are tight because of Covid. In addition to taking maximum advantage of the furlough scheme, the club will have had grants, rate reductions a government backed loan. Any shortfalls would have been met by the directors, lets hope this will have been by donations/sponsorship rather than further increases in their debts due from the club.TrickyDicky wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 10:28 pm I don’t think the club is any mess at all, thanks to furloughing, sensible management, Going part time, generous donations and diligent marketing of Advertising boards, memberships sales of merchandise and season tickets - an item like this is desirable but not within the Normal financial budget of a non league club working through a lengthy period of having very little revenue- hence the appeal for donations.
