Apart from Dion scoring the winner, Accrington also had another former Port player with SFC Juniors, Toby Savin, between the sticks to keep Fleetwood out.

And Captain Ross Sykes's Mom was especially enthused to note that Dion outscored the combined goal output of League One's Shrewsbury,Gillingham,
Fleetwood,Blackpool,AFC Wimbledon,Plymouth,Crewe,Wigan and Burton .

I agree with Redrobe fan on Steven Hewitt - he was a good player but I seem to recall it was in the revolving door days so we’d never have kept hold of him!

Andy Owens scored both goals for Radcliffe in their 2-1 home league win over Gainsborough Trinity.
Reuben Jerome got Workingtons 2nd goal in their 3-0 away win at Ossett United.
Jonathan Margetts got 2 in Frickley Athletics 4-0 home win over Market Drayton Town.

Just seen that Mark O’Brien retired at 27with a heart valve problem having been a regular in a decent Newport side. I rated him as a vocal and accomplished defender in his loan spells with us. Sad to see his career cut short by serious health issues.
