Chorley appear to squad names n shirts - always been an annoying feature of playing in NLN but Chorley seem to have overcome that - could we ?

A really interesting observation about bookings. Is it lack of fans or have referees been asked to be more leniant?

I can't help but do it, but I feel a right pillock celebrating a goal in my living room....

Rob admitting his age in commentary

He remembers dads and son in same team in 1880s :) or did he say 1980s?

4th game of the season and we have started 17 of the 18 first team squad.
Real depth in the squad.

Fairly even first half, both sides have had decent chances.

So far so good on all fronts.

The committed defending when Dan had a huge rush of blood was great to see.

I still think we need a solid blocker in midfield to support Morgan and give him some extra time to go forwards and not have half a mind on defending. We look a tad light in midfield at times.

Big thanks to Dan Hanford for those 3 points today! Bar his little expedition he really was exceptional.

Brilliant win - finished the game strongly today and deserved the points. I thought Russell Benjamin was excellent today, as was Anson. Well done to all, enjoyed the commentary and coverage as ever.

Great results that.

Work rate was very very good and although we went through a difficult middle of the second half, we always looked in relative control. Was good to see us play it cool and see the game out for the last 10 mins very sensibly rather than losing our heads like we so often do. Morgan and Benjamin played really well in the middle there breaking up play and chasing everything. Back 3 played well and although Anson got MOM I'd have given it to Hanford who made a string of good saves - 2 where they looked certain to score.

Well done all, and well done Nic and Rob on commentary. Stream was flawless for me

More depth in squad this year as changes made were seamless. Very solid at the back coped very well in the air. A number of good chances missed, this will be key this season. Defended too deep in the second half with 5 at the back. Everything good came through Morgan. Good result, average performance.
The referee was fussy. Why did Chorley have names on their shirts? Well done commentators.

Great to get a first league win. Superb save by Dan Hanford kept us in it. Marcus Carver needs a goal. Now missed two one on ones. Solid enough performance. Chorley seemed odds on to equalise in the last 20 mins but a win is a win!

3pts, but no idea how we kept a clean sheet. They missed a couple of sitters and Hanford pulled off two great saves.
We went too deep in the second half. The wing backs dripped back and Russ Sat just in front of the back 3 and we were outnumbered.

The work rate was good, just got to take our chances and not drop too deep
Close between Hanford and Winnard for man of the match

It was a relief when the whistle went.

Fortunately the Chorley front line didn’t take advantage of a couple of chances.

Anson and Sampson also should have scored.

I was surprised see so many changes. It would be interesting to know LWs rationale.

They kept battling but looked knackered at the end.

Where would we be without Morgan?
